Kobe let the kid hang out with him for a few days, He let him sit with him ding the charity game and he gave his family some money. Proven Innocent
Your living in the past, Jackson obviously doesn't have a problem with Kobe now.
3? Other than Shaq who else? Shaq is the one who asked to be traded.
He can keep his ego under control and not let it show around his teammates, 90% of NBA players have a huge ego.

And also Malone was done and Payton was involved in a trade. So that theory is BS.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It doesn't tell me anything.</div>now you're just being ignorant. Clearly she didn't want to testify in front of a jury because they could tell she was a lying fraud. Does Kobe really seem like the kind of guy to rape someone? Anyone see him and Chris Childs get in a tussle against the Knicks in the 2000 NBA Finals? I've seen 4-year olds punch harder. The only reason he settled out of court was to just end the media being in his face 24/7 and to just end the whole scene all together. Women have been going after athletes one after another with this sexual assault nonsense. Notice how they all settle for the out of court money? None of them ever want to carry out a trial, they just want money. It's complete BS.

Only two people know what really happened in that hotel room... nobody else. So to say she definitely was lying is absurd.

That's why I said what I said, not because I was trying to be "ignorant." There can be a lot of reasons. She might have not been stable enough to testify. I certainly wouldn't want a stupid girl up there crying and going nuts and ruining the trial. She might not have been a good person to testify, but that doesn't automatically make one a liar. I don't give a sh*t if Kobe throws pussy punches, he's proven himself to be dishonest, and he's a complete douche on the court. Last night he stared down a ref as he walked off the court. Yeah, what a classy guy.Edit: Oh, and the "Does he seem like that kind of guy?" argument is pretty weak. Do priests seem like the kind of people to molest little boys? Years ago, probably not. Anyone can commit a sexual offense. It doesn't take a special kind of person.

    Re: Jermaine O'Neal is unhappy

It's a shame that the rape trial is brought up everytime the Los Angeles Lakers are being discussed with Kobe Bryant being part of the conversation. I wish this would stop because it's really getting old now. The case had been over for over a year now so its time to move on. Jermaine Oneal is nowhere near the player of a Kobe Bryant in any point of his career so no that wouldn't be a equal trade unless the lakers got more then just Jermaine in return. I believe Lamar Odom for Jermaine Oneal is indeed a good trade becuase both players are solid big men who help out there teams. One may be a little more popular then the other but imo there skills at Basketball are not to far apart. I think this trade would help both teams out really well.

Justice, c'mon buddy, she might not have been STABLE enough to testify? Are you kidding me? Why go through with the whole rape trial if you're not going to be stable enough to testify? Once she doesn't testify, the trial is over with. So if she wasn't stable enough to testify to begin with, why go through with it? You're acting like Kobe is some villian, I don't know how anyone can possibly not see that this chick was just goldiggin for cash?

Maybe she was a golddigger, but if I were Kobe, I would not just lay down a bunch of money to shut everyone up. That makes you look like you're bribing everyone. He's not a villain to me, but there's a lot between villain and classy.

It just pisses me off because everyone always points the finger at the man, the women are always the victims. In the case of these rich, high profiled athletes, they always tend to settle out of court with money because 1 they can afford it, 2 they're sick of seeing themselves splattered all over the televison and newspapers, and 3 money is usually all the women want.
