I once got my parent's 70s Olds Cutlass up to 125 MPH going down hill on a long straight stretch of road very late at night on Hwy 26 headed East. I was in my early 20s and very stupid. Young people do a lot of stupid things. I also challenged fate when on a surf fishing trip. I had one hand on my rod, another hand on my tackle box, wearing rubber hip boots while hopping from one slippery rock to another with a deadly pounding surf below. Had I fallen, there was no way to have been saved. I also once got my boat dumped while steelhead fishing in the middle of winter while wearing chest waders. It was so cold that my rod tip was caked in ice and only the sliding of my line through the tip top guide kept the hole from icing shut. I grabbed a small life preserver lying in the bottom of the boat and it kept me barely from going under. As it was the freezing cold water came up to my lower lipe. After my buddy pulled me out I drank an entire thermos of very hot coffee. Had a headache that lasted for hours. Kids aren't all that smart.
Well the more you know. I did some digging and my good friend Dennis, has actually worked with her a few times. Said she was great. RIP to her
