And it won’t even be 70 games because he has injury issues. Can you imagine trading CJ for a guy who doesn’t even play?
Butler plays harder so is more likely to get injured. CJ plays hard on the offensive side but on defense, you don't have to watch long to see he's either taking breaks or some other equally poor reason for such poor defense.
I don't care how you word it. Portland would not be in a better position to compete than they are now if we don't have CJ nor Butler. It would be time to trade Lillard if that happened, because he would NOT resign.
My response was directed towards the idea that Portland would be in better shape with Butler leaving and CJ's contract off the roster. Re-signing Butler makes our cap situation much, much, much worse going forward but that wasn't factored into my post.
CJ makes 25.5% of the cap. You're questioning my IQ when you rounded 25.5 to 33 I stead of 25 after questioning me about my knowledge of math (trust me, you don't wanna go there). Comical.
My quote was nearly 1/3 over the next 3 seasons... his salary goes up to 28 then 29 the next 2 seasons... so yeah, I exaggerated a bit... maybe I should have said near 30% instead of 1/3... still a shitty use of the cap
If you read my post I said over the next 3 seasons, and maybe I should have said 3/10 instead of 1/3, either way still shitty use of cap... and unless you got a PhD in mathematics I guarantee I have more credentials in the math department
Definitely makes our cap situation much worse but if it works out, makes our championship aspirations much, much better.
I was assuming cap stayed around same... if those are the cap numbers then I was wrong... but 25% is not much better...
I have a medal that says I was a pretty decent one. Not "4-touchdowns-in-the-state-final" good, but in the ballpark.
