Kinda funny, Marcus Camby's per36 in his last season in Portland are pretty similar... 3.0 Assists, 14.3 Rebounds and 2.3 Blocks.
Noah was DPOY and 1st team all NBA and 1st team all NBA defense last year. He's had a history of missing a bunch of games in seasons. Before Thibs was coach. He's only played 70+ games 3 times.
I'd deal him now before y'all have to pay him again, a Gibson/Pau or Mirotic/Gibson or Mirotic/Pau front line isn't bad.
He'd have to pass a physical. Noah would be a good fit in LA and OKC. On the other hand, the Bulls love cap space and Noah is an expiring contract next season.
I'd gladly take Noah off Chicago's hands. Anybody prepared to talk that level of smack to LeBron is okay in my book
Billy Donovan in OKC was Noah's college coach. New Orleans has Asik at C. I think Thibs might end up there.
Asik won't make $14M like Noah does. Thibs gets to choose and it looks like he'd want to coach Anthony Davis. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...eans-orlando-tom-thibodeau-20150514-post.html
Asik is an unrestricted FA though. I think with Noah's passing from the high post AD would get at least 6 more easy points per game and become MVP. OKC would be interesting, would the Bulls accept their lottery pick and Adams+Morrow?
Enes Kanter and Morrow. Something like that. Kanter would have to want to stay with the Bulls long term. Anyhow, the scenario that some other team ends up with Jimmy Butler is if he's offered a 1 or two year deal with player option and he leaves after a year. Whatever he's offered, I suspect the Bulls will match. They're almost certain to offer him the largest contract possible right away.
He might be the best Noah would fetch. Noah looks gimpy. Until he shows otherwise, he's a one year rental and a big expiring to other teams. The Bulls might re-sign him to a smaller deal after this one expires. I don't know what the interest will be in him as a FA after another season.
I'm asking because I have no clue, but does he get to choose? He still has 2 years left on his deal, so theoretically, they can send him to whoever gave them the best offer, right? Obviously, he can say he doesn't want to coach there, but with 2 years left on his deal? Unsure how that all works, as coach deals seem so much different than player ones, until they start getting traded also.
From what I've seen, Thibs doesn't have to participate in a trade. Kidd wanted to pursue a coaching job with the Bucks and a trade was facilitated. Similar with Doc Rivers - he wanted to go to the Clippers. It seems Thibs can honor his part of the contract and the Bulls would have to fire him if they want to rid themselves of his $4M contract and hire someone else. They won't eat his contract - $8M over two seasons... In the case of Doc and Kidd, I think the teams would have kept them as coach if a trade wasn't made.
