I'd prefer Jody keep the team over either foreign options. I remember when middle eastern oil tycoons were buying up midwestern farms in the 70s and turning them into mega farms, squeezing the small farmer out of existance....pissed off a lot of Americans who built those farms from the ground up. If you build it they will come but you don't have to sell it. I hope Jody either figures out how to keep the team or sells it to someone who gives a shit or even knows anything about the PNW.

I don't care, how much you hate him, bcos he wasn't nice for a kid in record store, but we need to bring Rasheed energy and winning culture to this team. All this "culture" stuff was fake for 10 years and get us nowhere. Bring Wallace as an assistant coach to put some fire in those guys. By LOOKING AT THEM TOO MUCH.

I really don't care who buys the team as long as they have some sort of reasonable moral compass and a willingness to spend to win.

If that's some descendent of oil rich Emiratis... So be it. Just give a damn.

Is the guy from Qatar the same Sheik from there who is trying to buy Manchester United?

How do you know his son isn’t interested in sports? Because I’m assuming Phil knows he is and the team would go to him after he passes

I suppose he could change his mind, but that is my impression from reading the various articles on Phil.
Travis has always tried to go his own path. He never understood how his Dad enjoyed the competitive nature of sports. Even to the point of quitting little league
when he was one of the better players. I am going off of memory, so I could be remembering it wrong, but he didn't even want to be on the board at Nike. He doesn't like being given anything. Even though he obviously has because his dad keeps trying.

    Here is his Bio

"Travis Andrew Knight is an American animator, producer, director, and former rapper who has worked as the lead animator and current CEO for the stop-motion animation studio Laika, and directed the films Kubo and the Two Strings and Bumblebee

Is the team even for sale? A few days ago I hears Danny & Dusty saying that potential new owners were planning on leaving Moda for the Portland burbs. Even that surprised me, that there's potential bidders in the wings (aside from PK of course.)

    Anyone know anything?

I didn't hear anything about that, but it makes sense because of the lack of space.

If they want to pay for it, by all means go ahead

So if a billionaire sleazebag like Donald Trump or Rupert Murdoch wanted to buy the Blazers....I'd be dumb for showing a moral compass about who owns my favorite local franchise....gotcha...We have a billionaire owner now....one I don't have a great dislike for. I don't want to have owners who can't be trusted and there are a lot of them I wouldn't trust. When I learned Phil Knight was pumping money into the GOP....I got a whole lot less excited for him as a potential owner as well....that's what this thread is about. So far haven't seen the "smart" people in the room offering any solution other than change for the sake of change. You know who else has a moral compass? Dame.. Must be some character flaw eh?
