Brent dunked from the free throw line (in the warmups) farther than anyone in NBA history. Jussayin...

I suppose we can care what Mr. Barry says, about the same as, oh say Mr. Sterling.
Neither make a damn to me while my Blazers are 3 & 1. and perhaps the first time in the 2nd round in 14 years!

If being able to dunk was a measure of skill, the NBA would be jam packed instead of watered down

Barry couldn't be more incorrect. When I look at this series I see two teams playing the best ball of the playoffs. Who ever comes out of this series should be favorites to make the finals, assuming they keep this level of play up.

For a team that started 24-5 and the entire NBA was drooling about:

Portland is now 12-2 in its last 14 games, including playoffs, with 8 of those wins against playoff teams, and 4 of those wins against playoff teams on the road.

Great catch. In the playoffs recent success often gets thrown out the window. However the blazers 3-1 vs a team they lost 1-3 during the regular season, combined with the strong finish to the regular season is the embodiment of an aspiration to grow and succeed.

I've heard Jon Barry before and it has become very clear to me that he really wants to become a shit-stirring talk show host a la those 2 idiots who debate each other on espn.

It's the Bill Walton say something ridiculous to get a reaction schtick. The difference us Walton is over-the-top funny while Barry is just over the-top stupid. This makes Walton unpredictable and fun to listen to, but Barry is predictable and annoying.

But it's also just personality. Bill has always had that goofy look to him. Barry has always had that douchebag vibe, even when he played.

Anyone remember Jon Barry's NBA career?

Walton has always been an easy going, likable guy who doesn't take life too seriously. I was at the Memorial Coliseum the night they retired his number. His speech was exactly what you'd expect, "What a long strange trip it's been...".

Jon Barry, on the other hand, has always come across as an insecure wannabe. Must be tough trying to make a name for yourself when your dad is a Hall of Famer, former MVP, NBA champion and your younger brother is more talented, on and off the court, more intelligent and more likable.

And, by the way, a note to Mr. Jon Barry: Both the Rockets and Blazers won 54 games in a VERY tough, VERY competitive Western Conference. There are no bad teams in the playoffs in the West, and the Rockets and Blazers certainly aren't the "worst" two teams. Either one of these teams is capable to beating any of the other Western Conference playoff teams in a 7 game series. The West is that good and that balanced. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot.
