I was pondering changing my avi because the group of dudes in my current one I never hang out with anymore

Got to thinking about what I’d change it to, and JR Rider popped in my head because honestly I fucking loved him as a Blazer. One of my all time favorite Blazers to watch play the game (Sabas #1)

I do believe I’m kinda in the minority when it comes to Rider

What say you about the dude?

I actually liked JR. When he was on, there were few better during his stint with the team. That being said, he doesn't crack my top 20 Blazers.

Whenever I made a pipe out of a Coke Can.... I thought of that guy. Man there was a cross product promotion miss if I ever saw one!

All that money and they have to use a pop can. Lol. Never understood that one, or why he was smoking on the side of the road in Lake Oswego of all places. He wasn't the sharpest fella.

He was talented for sure. I loved it when he was on but if he wasn't he kept popping shots from deep until one dropped. Hearing the "pop can" chat from the crowd everytime he touched the ball was comical.

I loved Rider too. Was very disappointed when we traded him and Jimmy Jackson for Steve Smith.

If you want a Blazer that was a really good player but a little f'd in the head go with Billy Ray Bates.

I saw him play for UNLV against Reno. Dude got one bad foul call against him on defense that made him mad. He got the inbound after the free throws and you knew what was going to happen as you could see it in his eyes. He drove down and around all five defenders and dunked it. Very impressive. He had issues but he could dominate when motivated.

I felt kinda bad for Jimmy Jackson at the time, but Steve Smith became one of my all time favorite blazers, so I got over it.

Oh my, Billy Ray was Rider on steroids. Damn, though, B Ray was never caught speeding on I84 while smoking weed out of a pop can, with a trunk full of stolen phones...

    Neither was JR Rider, lol.

Rider was caught pulled over on the side of the road in LO smoking pot out of a pop can. Also it wasn't a stolen cell phone, it was a cloned cell phone, meaning it was using other people's accounts to make calls.

I suppose I am mixing up my Jail Blazer memories..I seem to remember a couple of guys being pulled over at high speed on I84, a big cloud of smoke on the stop etc etc...oh, and who was it that tried to pass off a trading card as their ID? hahahaha

Qyntel Woods is the one who used his trading card for ID.

ah, yeah...so many stories, so few brain cells. Brought to you by the guy that thought he could sneak his pot on a plane by wrapping it in tin foil.

What is so funny to me is that I really liked the play of that team, most of the time. But, good grief, almost every guy on that team was ahead case.

Rider is like that guilty pleasure movie that you only admit to liking to certain friends.
