JR was one of my favorite players - he was also really nice to meet when I was a kid the few times I met him.
I was never a fan of JR the man but no doubt he was really talented...just lacked leadership and character to make most of the fanbase proud...I don't miss him
You are getting so skilled at this! We gotta find a way to make you some money doing it. Ask me for a letter of recommendation anytime. You can make a thousand copies and mail your resumé to every advertising company in the world.
Your memory is clouded and confused from living the straight life...so you ridicule drugs. You should be the last to criticize anyone's confusion. Legalize it! You are proof that it's no worse than you!
Hahahaha..yeah, I do not imbibe. Yet, I am pro legal pot. And in my youth, you could have been a Cheech to my Chong.
Well good, you're a pretty good guy after all. One thing I've learned from message boards is that at least half of conservatives want drug liberalization, not a police state. It's hard to find sharp political lines anymore.
JR Rider was the jailblazer before the jailblazers. He was always in some kind of trouble or another.
This may sound funny, but he's the reason I'm a Blazers fan. Lol. I lived in Vegas and followed him at UNLV. When he went to the Lakers, I couldn't bring myself to change teams. Especially them.
I never understood the way that story got, and still gets spun. Young black guy in Portland. Pulled over driving a car you know the cops didn't believe he should be driving. Didn't have his drivers license or other government issued ID. What he had was a trading card with his picture and name on it. He showed them that. What would you have done? I'd have shown them my fucking trading card. While yelling, "Don't shoot". I mean, they were Portland cops after all.
You already hit the high point. The guy had no license. Period. If I recall the team had someone help him get legal to drive. Not like he left it at home. And seriously, at the height of popularity that the team enjoyed, I doubt that he would not have been recognized.
Definitely stupid speeding around in a flashy car without a license, even worse doing it Driving While Black. Using the card to convince the cops that he was who he said he was: Not stupid.
