To put things into perspective, these are the categories that Aaron Judge is leading ALL OF MLB in; Runs, HRs, RBIs, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, TB, IBB, and WAR. Wow, just wow. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/judgeaa01.shtml
If Yankees do not give this man a contract, I can see many Yankee fans becoming ex-Yankee fans. And yes, I will be one of them.
Yup...I said the same thing about a month ago...I mean, if Judge signs elsewhere, is that not a direct indictment on Cashman?
And to think that some believe Ohtani is worthy, it's not even close! Any one who thinks otherwise should be shot, and banned from baseball!
Yup, and aside from his obvious offensive prowess, the thing that so many people discount is that defensively, Judge is among the best CFers/RFers in the game. Simply put, not counting the PED offenders like Bonds, Sosa, ARod, and McGwire, Judge is having one of the best years a player has ever had...right there with Mantle and Ruth and Williams.
And oh, not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but with the Jays loss to the Rays, the Yanx go back to a lead of 7 games in the loss column...and with the impending return of pitching starters and relievers, as well as returning position players, this squad may go deeper into the PS than most of us thought.
And it's truly amazing and exciting to see. It's been such a long drought in Yankee Stadium since the Yankees produced at a historical level of great baseball moments, by baseball heroes. Yep, don't sign Judge, and I will become a MLB Free Agent Fan. I hear St. Louis is recruiting.
