I'm still taking Caleb. Sorry. I like Kuzma, but (small sample size) he isn't tough, and doesn't rebound, nor try on Defense.

Answer this honestly; you would rather have Swanigan on our team than Kuzma?

To your points, Kuzma is averaging nearly 5 rebounds a game and was a good rebounder in college. Don't agree that he doesn't rebound. He's better at it than Harkless. As for defense, he's a rookie, and I don't see anything about his profile that suggests a long term issue.

For me, it's easy. Kuzma would immediately be a starter. Swanigan is most likely going to be a backup while he's in Portland. Don't see him ahead of Collins long term. I like him, he'll be a good role player, but come on. We need a Kuzma a lot more than we need a Swanigan.

    A) I don't think Kuzma would start over Mo or Aminu for Coach Stotts right now.
    B) I don't think Ball's shooting touch is why he was drafted.
    C) When Kidd was Lonzo's age he was getting ready for the NCAA tournament his freshman year.
    D) The L*kers were a Dame 3 away from being 4-4 right now. Who had that in their preseason predictions?

Jason Kidd was an EXCELLENT defender and was also quick as SHIT. Rubio plays D as well.

    Lonzo can't do that.

Funny how comparisons are usually only on the offensive side. Not defensive.

I answered it honestly already. Did you think I was lying when I said I'd take Biggie? :dunno:

Well, at least you're an honest homer.

I feel like NO was so sure that he'd land PG or Melo to fill that scoring forward role this offseason. No way he deliberately planned to go into the season with this many bigs and so few wings.

Well that surplus is still there so maybe we can still land that guy, just not sure who.

Agree to disagree then. He wouldn't start over Aminu, but he definitely would start over Harkless imo.

It's not about being a homer. It's about loving Caleb's mindset and work ethic.

To be fair, it was a tie game when Dame made that, so it's not a foregone conclusion that that scummy ass l*ker team wins. Since if he Dame missed it time runs out and we go to OT.

This is a good point. When I first saw Ball last December the first thing I thought of was Kidd. His demeanor, size, lack of outside shot in college, and of course his excellent vision and passing skills. Ball will fill out and get better.

But............you are right Jason Kidd was an excellent defender and unbelievably fast end to end. Ball is a poor man's version of Kidd.....just not Kidd. (Unless he starts drinking and beats on his future wife)
