This team is badly in need of offensive help.

One game at a time: end result tonight, loss. A game that needs to be won, getting your ass kicked by the worst team in baseball, behind a pitcher with a 10+ era looking like CY Young. Once again the offense failed, Thornton sucked, and the Yankees lost.

Just when you think they're turning the corner & possibly putting some kind of streak together say 8 out of 10, they revert back to there losing ways.

Exactly...disappointing on many levels. I'd rather Jeter either K with bases loaded and 1 out....or at least try to loft a fly out.

1- BTW-Rick James Garner's birth name was Bumgarner, coincidence, no relation to Madison.....looks like were going to have a good NL West Rivalry b/t the Giants and Bums.....this last half, looking forward to it....!

2- I agree, I'd much rather see Jeter going down swinging for the fences, or short porch, than hit into a weak infield & final game ending out. Jeter can hit the ball out of the park when he sets his mind to it. Where did the ghosts of Earl Weaver go....!
