...tote, I've been thinking about Tex...I'm not so sure we wouldn't be better off if Tex batted RHed handed only.

Great Robertson thats now your 3rd walk of the inning. You're the closer, close it already.

One pitch away from walking in the winning run. Nice going Robertson. And to think, for this mess he gets a save.

Yankees had the lucky horseshoe up their butt tonight. Problem is the league is closing from the bottom and not going away at the top with Baltimore, Toronto and Tampa all getting wins. Immediate need is to get out of Texas with a series win.

The Yankees need some solid innings out of their starters moving forward. The bullpen is fizzling right now and needs some rest.

...yup, and there was no reason for either Betances or D-Rob to be summoned last night.

...the Yanx scored 10+ runs for the first time since April but I still had to sweat out the victory till the very last pitch?

It's really amazing that every game this team plays seems to come down to the wire. Simply put though the pen has been overused. No surprise though considering pretty much the entire starting staff has been turned over.

I'm pretty sure it was seven. Mo hit his bad patches as well so there's no reason to get on Drob for the same thing. He's been very solid otherwise.

I had to look and then I remembered he actually blew three saves in a row in August and then two in a row in September. He always had his little bad patches where he had to regroup and gather his strength back up. This was the point when we were discussing the other day about bringing in Betances in a game they trailed 2-1. The guy is clearly showing signs of fatigue the last couple of weeks.

...yeah, Betances has not looked nearly as sharp recently. Depending on whether or not DRob and the Yanx can agree on a new contract we may see Betances as the closer next year.
...of course the Yanx may already be thinking about the two of them swapping roles...again, depending of course whether DRob returns next year or not.

The bottom line as far as last night & someone already hit on it, there was just no reason for Betances & Robertson to even come into that game with a 10-4 lead.
