How much ram are you running? Also when was the last time you checked what programs are loading when your computer boots up? You can run sysconfig or there is a utility in spybot that can help you check that.
i have done that...it has to many shit open and running when i look at processes when i ctrl alt delete...according to the avg site im not the only one whos computer has ran slowly after installing it
