Lol, kid gets straight A's, but he can't figure out an iPod.

go download bittorrent (search for it on google of go to bittorrent.com

use thepiratebay or www.isohunt.com for all of your movies/cds/nba lives/tv shows

oh yah, if you choose to pirate music, don't update your iPod or iTunes. You will have to keep sending your iPod back to Apple for repairs if you do.

I had a creative joint, and I dropped it one time and it broke lol, plus the software for creative is not as nice as iTunes.

Brian, do not use p2p programs like limewire...the site I use is rapgodfathers.com, go to the boards, sign up, and you can download entire albums. Download winrar so you can extract the file when your down, and your set, its really easy, and better than limewire if your trying to get entire albums rather than individual tracks.

To get the best battery life, charge it until its full, and let the battery die before you charge it again.

^ TSV's got it right. It made listening to rap music so much easier. albumbase.com is another site you can use if you're looking for non-rap music.

I'm not a big fan of iPods either. Both my brother and sister have one and I just find the process of adding music needlessly complicated. My Creative mp3 player is just a simple drag-and-drop process and its never had the battery/screen problems that iPod users deal with.

Another issue with iPods is the hard drives in the larger players. That Nano is a flash player so you'll be fine. But I have had several hard drives die on me. And I hate the little marking it makes to indicate the deal HDD.

Take a look at the broken iPods out there.

Doesn't ITunes cost money though? Aren't there sites where you can go to download for free? Like Limewire? The only problem is I have no idea how to use Limewire. If it's against the rules to talk about it on here, you can just pm me

Yeh Limewire is a cheaper option but Generally Itunes is the safer option. But then again something like 1 in 500,000 files are infected and chances are thats like Pop and Rock Mainstream kinda stuff.

Also get some nice headphones, like some that'll arent really expensive but more midrange 30-50 dollars, the headphones they give you are HORRIBLE. You won't get the best experience if you use those.

Nah get expensive ones if you got the money. More money = Better quality. Depends what type of music your into as to what type of Headphones. Rap and Dance music you would generally get Bassier Headphones like i do

Co-sign. My nano is near indestructable, and I have waaaay more music than I can fit on my nano but adding music to it takes 15 seconds. Very simple.

Mines a 30GB fwiw. So thats a hard drive one thats nearly indestructible. Not sure what the scratching problem people are having...just keep them in the sleeves that come with the iPod. Also a bit confused about the don't wrap the headphones around the iPod part as well. Why wouldn't you?

I take it I could light my Nano on fire, and it'd still work good.

I don't think they're that bad, but they just don't stack up to my Creative. It's easier to use and its battery life, sound quality, etc. is much better than an iPod.

I don't even keep mine in the sleeve or anything. It has scratches of course, but I've had it for a while and it's always in the pocket so I don't mind.. what's with that about not wrapping the headphones around the iPod? I do that a lot. lol

Edit: I didn't realize this was the Ipod thread, thought it was the RTT. lol

Alright. Thanks for all the help guys, but I decided to go with Limewire, since it seems like the most popular site to me. I just downloaded a bunch of songs on Limewire, so I'm just wondering how I can transfer it onto my IPod? Do I highlight the songs and click Launch? I don't want to do something stupid and delete all my songs. lol. It took a while to download
