    yeah dude, Ryan Howard's Phillies had I think 2 more wins then the Cardinals, and the voting takes place PRIOR to the playoffs.

And I think Papi was more deserving than A-Rod was in 2005.

    well Papi got snubbed in 2005, but I can see his beef this year. He is Mr. Clutch, and w/o him, the Red Sox are no one. You'd have the same problem the Cubs had when Derrek Lee went down. There are only 2 run producers in their lineups: Cubs - Lee/Ramirez, Red Sox - Papi/MannyLee and Papi are the lead mashers, the Ramirez cousins (yes they are related) are supporting mashers. Their teams would do horrible if the lead masher went down.
