I liked Plumlee. I was sooo bummed when he got traded. And why ? Because he was no good ? NO, because he was good and was going to want more coin.

Well.... he's making $13.6 million per year and he's averaging 6.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1.1 blocks. 14.9 PER.

I love the guy, but he's not worth that money. We saw the writing on the wall and dealt him for a young, up and coming center.

I am a Bit afraid that Nurkic might think he's a Superstar and won't resign for less than 20 Million per year. I can Imagine that he think so.

Based upon his play so far I'd say 12-15 mil per is all I'd want to pay. Have to consider the glus of C's in that league, the glus of offseason C's being UFA's, much less capspace available after 2 yr if bloated contracts, and a position that is not as important as it was previously in a "small ball" league.

So why is he making that much then. Are the Nuggets stupid businessmen ? They must see something about him they like. I think it has a lot to do with chemistry.

Or they re-signed him because they didn't want to have traded a pick and Nurkic for literally nothing.

I'm pretty sure they were bidding against themselves because I don't think he received another offer.

Well, you may be right. I wonder though about Nurks chemistry with the Blazers. Does anyone think the language barrier is a problem ? Or maybe he gets along better with the team than I hear from him during postgame interviews.
Sometimes I wonder if Nurk even understands the questions he gets from the press

I'm expecting Nurk would sign for around $17-$20M per year.

if you ask me, Nurk will get 4/85, from the Blazers or Blazers will match
I believe theres no way he gets less than 4/80

Which Pelicans front office exec's family member gets kidnapped in order to get them to buy into that deal?

I'm optimistic that Davis will be a valuable asset to the Blazers team and should not be traded. Good stuff happens all around him when he's on the floor.
Leonard on the other hand should be dealt..... IMHO

I pray we keep Ed Davis. That guys is back to form after last seasons injuries and would be missed if not re-signed.

eh? What are you talking about? Just cuz he has an accent doesn't mean he has a language barrier or poor chemistry. He loves his teammates and they clearly love him.

This is an asinine assertion. Nurk's answers in interviews are refreshingly candid and clearly he understands what's being asked. Better than the cliched drivel we get from half the domestic players around the league.

Press to Nurk: " So does playing with Lillard on the floor help you to establish your inside game easier ?
Nurk: " I think we play hard tonight cuz y'know we got to keep our heads above water. The 3rd quarter really got us to be trying harder than we were earlier in the game."

I didn't say he didn't have good chemistry ..... I asked if he did

Nuggets have given out a few questionable contracts to limited bigs over the past 5-7 years.
    Hickson/Mcgee/Faried.
I might be missing one as well. I wouldn't call the Nuggets stupid, I would say they 'take care of their own at the sacrifice of winning'.
