    Isaiah Hartenstein .604
    Andre Drummond .585 (career .646)

geeeezuz...that turned out to be more work than I thought. I went to BBREF and just started going thru the NBA standings in the Western Conference. I was looking at rotational C's/Big's. After I got part way thru I figured I'd go until I found a C/Big shooting worse than Nurkic at the rim. I didn't find any in the Western Conference so I started in the EC and go until I found one shooting worse. I finally did on the 25th team, the Knicks, and Hartenstein. But since I went that far.....

anyway....YIKES! Nurkic's career mark is .608 so he's right in his wheelhouse this season, and the bosnian boat is wallowing in inefficient water. I suppose it would be better to look at TS% because Nurk shoots 50% of his shots at the rim and draws a lot of shooting fouls. But, at first glance, his TS% is pretty damn bad for a big. His career mark is .546 which is lower than the NBA average (28 teams shot a higher TS% than that this season)

efficiency at the rim is an obvious flaw in Nurk's game. Considering it's his 9th season, it seems safe to say it's a flaw he can't, or won't, correct

overall, I'm not sure how much of a factor this is. Nurk is averaging 10.6 FGA/game. So then, about 5 FGA at the rim. That currently generates around 6.3-6.4 points/game. If his rate was around .750, he'd generate around 7.5 points/game. So that's at least a point a game and that's kind of significant

He needs his touches for his feels, but I cringe every time he puts the ball on the floor.

ill tell you something, there no real chance he gets traded, unless its to the tanking team and they have something of use for the trail blazers

Not a huge surprise when you ask a big to defend more at and above the 3pt line that his effectiveness will go down. We used to play to his strengths and to hide his shortcomings.

Even Nurk’s most ardent defender is turning on him. I have a feeling he is gone at the deadline.

Who is going to want him/his contract? You'd have to take back much less talent if you traded him.

Only hope would be some contender who lost their center to injury and are willing to pay long term for the chance to win this year.

Exactly. To get rid of him, you have to take on a guy making as much money (though one less year) who plays 7 minutes/game. Leaving the roster with no starting center.

Nurk is on a horrible contract. You would really have to sweeten the deal to get a team to take him. Or do something like a Bertans-like deal. Crap for crap.

Nurk may be very high in post ups, but his efficiency is mind numbingly poor in comparison to the others in that graph. #HolyRushedFlipShotBatman
