    Obama got people whooped into a frenzy over false/exaggerated racism claims, identity politics, and popularity contests. I never heard anyone on the left bitching about that.

    Obama and Hillary called people on the Right "Bitter Clingers"/"Deplorables"/"Racists", and made every Liberal terrified of white people in fly over states.

    Hah. Oh, I know what a president is capable of. I had to put up with Obama's bullshit for 8 years, as you can see.

    You seemed to be arguing against my point, while at the same time agreeing with it which was contradictory. I don't think Trump needs to be so explicit to influence people predisposed to doing stupid shit. Perhaps that is our main disagreement.

    He totally encouraged his followers to be the bigots that they've become. Absolutely. And you only need to visit the comment section of an article about politics, anywhere, to see this.

    What else do you call labeling those on the Right as racists, bitter clingers, and deplorables? Just talk?

    So both sides have grievances. I'm under no illusions that there's dumbasses on the Right. So let's not act like it's just one or the other; BOTH sides have arguments.

    If anything, I actually blame Bush for starting the identity politics in this country, when he started openly labeling people "Unamerican". But Obama had a chance to stop it and bring the country together, and instead he made it FAR worse.
