i agree 100%. Unfortunately most in the two parties are not able to be , imo. There are two many polarizing social issue, which is two bad.
e.g.: abortion, & others.
It seems when there is a balance of power threaten, especially supreme court appointment,things ratchet up.

I think the Dems really blew it by not acting much sooner and its was bad management. If her attorneys would have not lied told her the truth about a regional meeting much earlier in then process, I don't think we would have witnessed yesterdays circus. I believe her when she said she wanted to prevent early on his selection, her attorneys blew it, imo.

Im for term limits even for SCJ's.

This is an embarrassment for the GoP I hope every senator that votes yes on Kavanugh goes down in flames in their next election. The Bar association is coming out and saying their should bean investigation, the dis-justice they are doing to victims of sexual assault by simply ignoring and in some of their cases saying Ford is lying, if Ford can't be taken seriously and is being smeared to high heaven for coming out with this by Fox news and other super right wing "news" medias. It makes me wonder if this is going to cause women who already under report sexual harassment and assault, to not come out at all against people with power and wealth.
What the Judicial Committee has done to try and stonewall and be completely ignore Deborah Ramirez is just disgraceful as well.

 

This literally had nothing to do with it. Republicans had their mind made up in the last year of Obama's term that they were going to steal his nomination.

The Dems process was irrelevant.

I question anyone's morals who can watch Kavanaugh's testimony and believe it.

 

An FBI Investigation will take months. Then the senators will want to interview everyone under a rock.

All for nothing. There is nothing to investigate. Its just a delay tactic until the Dems can win back the house so they can better force a pic that is less conservative.

No one has come forth to verify or even come close to corroborate Ford's claims. He has impeccable references, the only ones who claim he is like this are either fucking crazy or scatterbrained and they do so without anyone backing them up whatsoever.

 

What about the FACT that Ford told her therapist and husband about this years ago? Before anyone knew this Kavanaugh guy and clearly he wasn’t a Supreme Court nominee? Was Ford predicting the future?

That still doesn't produce a corroborating witness or any evidence whatsoever from that time. They can't even state when the party was. Every single person she cites refutes her. Nothing new or groundbreaking came from her testimony whatsoever. They failed to make a case for an FBI Investigation other than "you have to have it just to have it". No smoking gun.

Literally zero character witnesses to stand behind Ford or to stand against Kavanaugh.

How can you find witnesses about a party that does not exist? (besides invent them which the left has clearly done with the other two highly dubious claims)

"My therapists notes that I shared with the Washington Post but won't show you guys" isn't enough.

 

I respectfully disagree, Why was she not told about a private meeting.
Even in her testimony, which I believe she said her notice was to prevent his nomination and stay anonymous if possible. If there wasn't a leak and the demo would have immediately called for an investigation it could have had a big impact on here behalf. Thats the way it should have been handled, imo, the keeping it till the last minute really was selfish to her and in fact hurt her justice.
Why didn't they take an aggressive approach immediately? What wait 60 days or os. She was let down big time by those who wanted to represent her and they didn't.

Like I said, I wouldn't based on what I heard yesterday pass Kav, but there is responsibility on all sides and errors, imo.

 

...you have absolutely no idea how long an investigation would take...they would likely have a good idea if there is dirt on Kavanaugh or if Ford was mistaken within a week or so, at least learn enough to determine whether thy need to need to dig deeper. Besides, the GOP held up Garland for 10 freaking months so what's another week or so to be more certain about Kavanaugh. I'm a conservative and I'd like to see a moderate or a conservative on the bench but I'm not sure Kavanaugh is the right way to go.

...we're not talking about whether he pulled himself together as a human being after being a drunk dick in HS and College...we all did stupid shit when we were young that we wish we had not done. We are talking about what happened many years ago and you as well as many others including Congress cannot grasp the context of events.

...and it makes about as much sense as saying we should turn Bernie Madoff loose for his later crimes because he was once an honest banker/investor 30 years ago. Seems Kavanaugh doesn't want an FBI investigation for obvious reasons...same with the GOP...they are afraid of what might come out.

 

If there was Dirt on Kavanaugh, the 6 previous FBI Background checks would have uncovered something.

And there are many people from High School and College who will speak on his behalf. Sure, he probably had people that did not care for him. Nothing that will support Ford's claims though.
