The NBA used to be so great. Easily my favorite sport. The 90s were amazing. Now it's just boring corporate theater.
Boston gets the big prize obviously. San Antonio gets value and pick (didn’t add them because didn’t have time to see what Boston owns now) Houston gets to complete their big 3
Knowing that Kawhi to the Lakers will lead to Lebron and PG13 joining him there, they'd be better off sending him to the Clippers, even with a lesser return.
But does Kawhi re-sign? That’s the biggest question right now. The only places I see Kawhi commiting to are Lakers or Boston OR if by the grace of God LeBron convinces him to come to Cleveland and Cleveland parts ways with the 8th pick, future pics and filler
Why does everyone want to go to the Lakers? LA-- I understand, but the Lakers? At least one thing is for certain, he doesn't control his destiny and can't force the Spurs hand. They can trade him wherever they want to. He can kick and scream about not signing an extension, but SA is the one petty-ass team that will send him to the far corners of the NBA first before trading him to LA. Regardless of how deflated the offers are.
Me, too. I haven’t watched a second of the NBA finals the last two years. I’m sick of NBA stars ganging up to win titles. This whole thing has gotten ridiculous.
The Stein tweet I quoted earlier said he was interested in both the Clippers and the Lakers. And if you're the Spurs, do you really care if he'll re-sign there? Buford should be on the phone with them right now--"Neither of us want him to go to the Lakers, so it's clearly in your best interests to deal for him yourselves."
I don't. I do not watch any other NBA basketball other than the Blazers. The Finals? Didn't watch it. I used to love watching the Magic with Shaq and Penny. I loved watching the Bulls with MJ and Pippen. I loved watching the Pacers with Reggie Miller. The league is a joke now.
