Just keep Lillard/Batum/LA/Lopez, everyone else can be replaced in some way.

This will probably not be a popular comment but the one position I would like to see us improve is SG. Wes is heart and soul of this team but he relies on others to create shots for him. He completely disappeared in playoffs and became frustrated and forced shots, although playing pretty good defense. Playoffs have a funny way of exposing players weaknesses (Lillards defense, Wes's offense, Aldridge's mental toughness etc...) plus can we afford to keep all 5 starters with Lillard, Aldridge and Batum all getting big contracts?

Wes is so undervalued on this team. He's not just the heart and soul, but he is also a beast on defense and enables Lillard to concentrate on his offense. Wes gobbled up Hardens offense and was a huge reason why the Blazers made it to the second round. And so his offense isn't great, well, the rest of the starters kick ass on O, allowing Wes to hit the threes and concentrate on D. Now the back up SG, that needs to get nailed down, and that's a position where offense is more important.

To me a core group is untouchable and I don't think the spurs ever labeled all starting five players as a core.

I totally agree. Wes is a warrior and he's the emotional leader of the team.

Will has that rare combination of swagger, fearlessness and yet he's humble about it. I think this season will be his breakout season.

The core is Lillard, LA and t a lesser extent Rolo. Matthews and Batum are serviceable starters, but one of them needs to be upgraded to be a real contender in the West.

Totally agree, but mostly I just hope he makes it. In the NBA. When players like him prove their worth, it's just a happy feeling.

I agree with this; all three are ranked in the Top 6 at their position according to ESPN's WARP (wins above replacement player) ratings. Matthews and Batum are good fits for our offensive system, but upgrades, if available, should be pursued.

I keep saying the Blazers should explore Wes Mathews trade value and put Batum at SG. Not saying anyone is but it's also never a good idea to fall in love with players.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOaBxOi6U4k a full sentence needs a noun and verb. I just thought you would like the help since your previous post suggests you're learning grammar from YouTube.
