Unbeaten American welterweight contender Mike Jones (22-0, 18 KO’s) could be facing undefeated British welterweight champion Kell Brook (22-0, 15 KO’s) in early 2011 for the interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title, according to Dan Rafael. It’s a strong possibility that this fight happens as long as the 27-year-old Jones defeats Jesus Soto Karass on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito bout on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. If Jones wins that fight, which is highly likely given his huge size and power advantage over the weaker Karass, then the Brook-Jones fight is a strong possibility for 2011.
