Yeah, the Wilsonville bowling alley closed recently and is now some sort of Cash N Carry type of store. Sad day. Thank Gawd for Bullwinkles (green font).......

I once considered becoming a professional bowler. I've bowled at Kellogg many times. Mike's drive-in was da bomb!

 

I know that spot.

 

I've dreamed of being a professional boxer, tennis player, football player, basketball player, soccer player, baseball player, nuclear physicist, mathematician, engineer, cowboy, policeman, fireman and a professional finish carpenter but never a professional bowler. Did you consider it because of the fact that it's a chick magnet job?

 

That's where I bought my first car. I bought it from Immer and Oswald in 1969.

 

I remember there was a restaurant near River Rd. and McLoughlin that had a fantastic "Super Nacho". It appears it's called Stanley's Corner today. Can't remember the former name. That was back in the 80's.

Some nerd I work with always brags about how he’s an actual pro bowler there. No one cares though because he’s a douche

 

I once bowled at Lincoln City Lanes. Talk about a sandy experience. I had my own shoes, but certainly didn't use them. Nor my bowling ball.

 

The last time I bowled at Kellogg Lanes (that I can remember), I was a junior in HS and out with a guy who eventually became our county commissioner (until recently). What I recall of the night was that a great deal of alcohol was involved and I (swear to God) had a gutter ball on every turn the first (and only) game. Then it was time to drown my shame with more alcohol. Oh to be 16 again......
