And this is why small sample size matters. The one thing where Dame is killing it, and Kemba can't even come close, is free throw rate. (IE number of FTA per FG attempt.) Dame - 52.6% Kemba - 37.8% Dame is averaging 13.7 FTA per game. Kemba is averaging 9.9 FTA per game. Dame is currently averaging 12.5 points off free throws per game.
His 47% from 3 on 7 attempts doesn't seem sustainable. Crazy improvement though. I always saw him on the Brandon Jennings mold-- surprised he's gotten so much better.
I ask again... what do you expect with this? You can throw stats out on small sample sizes all you want, no one is going to suddenly go "OMG, I'm so stupid! Of course I think Kemba is now better! What was I thinking?"
How about: "wow, I didn't realize how well Kemba was playing this year! Maybe if I was a reasonable person I would vote for him for an All-Star over Lillard in the world where Charlotte and Portland are in the same conference."? All Star contests are voted on on fairly small sample sizes by their very nature. But if that's too hard, how about if they were competing head-to-head for "PG of first sixth of the season"?
A much bigger sample size than right now, so I'll wait. Oh, and Damian Lillard, and it's not changing. Sorry.
