Barkley can say some pretty outlandish stuff but he is right an awful lot of the time on how teams play. The jump shooting team was true before they had a player that could score around the rim. If you look at the Blazers this year compared to how they played two or three years ago you would agree to an extent.
Now the NBA Finals part was pretty outlandish for sure. But you have to admit this group and the way they play is more well rounded.

Anytime Barkley compliments Portland it's the kiss of death. The jinx is in and we might as well tank from here on out.

I think he does it on purpose.

You know it...Im sure before they went on the talked about what would rile a certain base and have fun with it.
Kenny was correct though that if they use Nurk at the high post with his passing skills it adds a new dimension.

We are an AWESOME (I keep using caps for emphasis today, sorry) half court team. We are going to fuck some teams up...

Last night's prediction from Kenny and Charles caught me off guard, and while the meaning of their words settled on me and I sort of nodded like "Alright, I'm in," fucking Reggie Miller with his narrow-range voice had to say all the dumb shit he always says. Fuck that guy.

(Which reminds me: was I hallucinating or did the ref come over to Reggie Miller to explain what the call was at the end of regulation? wtf)

I feel like I’ve seen that a few times this year but never before. Last night was definitely not the first time I’ve seen it this season.

Refs come over to the national broadcast to explain complicated calls. Happens all the time

Silver probably wants more interaction with TV and Refs, as a pr stunt.

It might happen but they usually don't televise it.

I was absolutely astonished.... I guess I don't know myself well enough to know why it bothers me, but it really does.

I have seen it done a few times recentky. i assume the broadcaster has requested that info given to them so that they can explain it to their audience Part of the way to make things more interactive i guess.

If you really only watch the Blazers, like me, then up until recently, these opportunities were far and few between to observe and I think that's why most of us think this is new. Its the first time I've seen it and I was blown away. Explanations should go to coaches and team captains and that's it, right?

I fully believe Silver wants the interaction and I don't actually think its all bad the more I think about it. Refs are in a no win situation of a career. Rarely, to never, getting praised for the right call, but always slammed for the bad calls, and no one is perfect.

This give them and the NBA an opportunity to expand the knowledge of what and why, to the casual fans that may have ill perceived the situation and thus, blame the ref.

What I didn't care for was that it was Miller. I cant stand his nasally voice and how he repeats the same words over and over when he gets excited.

Ohhhh He be hot. He be hot.

    He be hot.

    STFU......

So for the ref to go to him made me wanna vomit

I do watch other games but those games are not the Blazers so i cannot say my interest is the same. Yesterday watching the GS vs Denver game i was at the three card poker table at Ilani so you can suspect i was not really up to speed on what the refs were doing. Most certainly was not listening to a commentator.
