If any deal is going toget made, it needs to be soon.

That way, if it fails, the fans can blame Cho....but if it succeeds, they can claim he gets no credit because he just took the job.

    Do we blame Cho, though?

Or did his computer just "malfunction"?

Does PA blame him for using Apple instead of Microsoft?

    Questions that will need answers....

Either the question was "where can I find ESPN Trade Machine" or you don't know how to link to a trade you've thought up. If it's the latter, here's how:
    1. After you've completed your trade, click on "save trade"
    2. You will be presented with a URL: cut and paste that (don't copy the link, literally cut and paste). That's the link to your trade.

I actually had a similar thought: Harris makes a lot of sense for San Antone because they can play Hill and Harris together.

For all you PER-heads out there, it's worth noting who has by far the highest PER.

I am not sure how much this helps us, but IMO one of the reason the Blazers got bounced last season, was because Miller couldn't hit a long distance shot. If Miller could hit an outside shot on a regular clip, then Grant Hill would not have been able to sag off him and make him essentially useless. Just like opposing PG have done to us when Lamarcus gets swapped on to them. They just take him outside, wait for him to back off and hit the easy J. Miller can't do that because he really doesn't have range outside of 15'. Harris does. But what Harris does not have, is Millers savvy and basketball IQ.

I don't think he has any value, so I assumed the other teams would hang the phone up if we offered him

Well a large part of his performance wasn't necessarily his fault...Terrance Williams was a HUGE ballhog, the guy averaged 19 shots\game if I recall....and when he sat out the last game, Favors had a very good performance.....

Summer league doesn't really favor big guys for the most part anyway.....

I don't think NJ is trading him, but if they were, I would not be opposed to dealing LA for Favors & Harris at all....

Thing is, if Roy's healthy, they wouldn't have been able to put Hill on Miller to begin with, so that whole argument is moot. It wasn't his lack of outside shot that killed us. It wa snot having a full lineup, to be able to punish the opposing PG.

As for the midrange game, they both take too many shots from the 16-23 foot range. Last year, Miller was pretty off, but before that, had shot around 42% the last 3 years. Harris has never been over 40.

I actually think Bayless is a more likely piece to be moved than Williams and it's not because Eliot is more NBA ready ... in fact it's because he isn't NBA ready that makes me think this. Bayless wants (needs?) playing time, he's not going to get it behind Matthews and Roy, and if a move was made to bring in an all-star caliber lead guard and he was still on the roster, he'd be looking down the barrell of 12 minutes per game max and that is not going to make for a happy Jerryd Bayless. Williams on the other hand may not be thrilled with collecting DNP-CDs, but as a rookie on a team with Western Conference Finals aspirations (and beyond) it's a lot easier to sell the guy on learning and being groomed when he's 3 or 4 years away from his first extension or non rookie contract.

Yes he does. Note I said 15 feet. Not 3 point line.

He may have been sandbagging it his last dysfunctional year in Dallas and then again in NJN. Hard to blame the guy especially in NJN. Not that sandbagging is a good sign, just a possibility.

Where you you drawing your stats from, because that is not the NBA I watch. Miller has never been a good outside shooter. Devin Harris isn't a great 3 point shooter but inside the arc he is quite accurate, having several years where he shot upwards of 48-49% from the floor. His game is fine if it is inside the arc. His shooting percentage as a whole is calculated using both 3 point and 2 point baskets. Some of those years he only shot 25% from the 3 point line, but still ended up 48%'ish from the floor for the year. That means his shooting percentage inside the arc is off the charts, in order to make up for his shooting percentage outside the arc.

Hi sshooting percentage is so high, similar to Andre's being decent, because more than half their shots end up coming right around the basket. You shoot 60% there, it's going to make your shooting percentage look good. just looking at that and assuming he is a good shooter inside the arc is false, though. I'm not saying this to be totally negative about Harris. I like him and would welcome him here. but he's not a good shooter. His midrange game isn't good. It's getting to the rim that makes his stats look good.

Hello i am new to the forum but i think some of you know who i am from other forums and such and i just discovered this board and decided to register.

Now to the Topic -- I am not sure how i feel about a possible Devin Harris trade as he seems to always be nicked up and he is a baby step down in terms of being a pure PG then Andre. I looked at there roster and nothing jumps out at me besides Lopez and they are not trading him so not sure i would want to see anyone else come back in the deal. I do believe there is something on the burner and it will be Cho job to decide to serve it up or dump it out. The next couple weeks are going to be very interesting and i hope something semi big to big will take place.
