Not that I'm for this chic doing this shit, but will local government put government officials in jail for not issuing gun permits? Aren't they both the same offense?
Crandc, I think calling her a bigot who thinks gay people are inferior is a bit ignorant. YOU aren't, but that statement may be. I have many Christian friends who have ZERO problem with homosexuality. They just believe, as the Bible says, that marriage should be between man and woman. No, I do not want to get into that, just that believing the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman vs bigot who thinks gay people are inferior is a reach
This is an interesting issue because I'm curious if the people that elected her actually support her. Would she lose if an impeachment vote was put on the ballot? She works for her constituents, not the federal government, so I'm curious if she actually is representing the will of the people in her area? That doesn't make it right, but it's an interesting wrinkle.
And they are perfectly free to believe that. What they can not do is force that belief on others and that is what the court clerk is doing. She his putting her personal beliefs over the laws she was elected to enforce.
And THAT is why marriage should not be the recognized nomenclature of the contract between two people who want to enter into a union. One is a silly ceremony where you swear before the bearded invisible man, and the other is an actual license from the government. Remove one from the other and voile! No more problem.
Link? I haven't heard of county clerks refusing to give gun permits to citizens who are legally allowed to get them. If that is happening then you bet your ass they should be held to the same standard. Are you still fucking cats?
This is going to end badly for her. Kentucky's clerk office are going to issue marriage licenses without the clerk.
Whoa... that article is from Wed, August 14, 2013 so I have no idea how that turned out but yeah, I don't think high school students need to be bringing guns to school.
But what if it's a class on how to clean your AR-15? I could seriously use a class on how to disassemble and clean an AR-15. Have you ever tried to disassemble and clean an AR-15 because it's not an easy task to do if you've never done it before, believe you me.
The question is, should government officials also go to jail for not issuing gun permits? They are breaking the law right? Definitely a moral issue about not bringing them to high school that is entirely debatable as the OP right?
Does it matter when? You ask to provide links. I did. Do those government officials deserve to go to jail for refusing to issue permits?
