A minute by minute update from chuck on cally coming down and sather replying kiss my ass how the hell did I ever offer you 6 for 6 you overrated piece of shit while all around the league trades are being offered and made. At 3pm tmo it will be breathlessly announced that the rangers have signed Captain Delusional.

If they can get Kesler for Stepan, Miller and a 2nd I'd run with it.

Dump, would you trade Brassard, Kristo and a 2 for Kesler?

Yes disturbed. Granted, I love that Zucc-Brassard-Pouliot line. However, to get Kesler for him when we could resign Brassard at the end of the season is a no brainer. You could deal Boyle, Stralman or Dorsett and probably get the second round pick back.

Kesler isn't what he was but you still have a chance of giving up nothing for him if you sign Brassard at the end of the season. Even if you don't, maybe Stepan will have the same chemistry with Zucc and Pouliot and you put Kesler with Nash and Kreider.

I thought Brassard was a RFA but he is UFA....No way Vancouver does that deal with 2 more years of Kesler locked up unless they sign Brassard

Brassard, Kristo and a 2nd will not get it done. Maybe Stepan, Kristo, 1st or Brassard, Miller, 1st.

I would not do Stepan straight up for Kesler. If I was Vancouver I would ask for Stralman, Boyle and Brassard for Kesler. I would then overpay for Stralman and Boyle and lock them up before UFA. They are Torts types of players. Then I would go after Stastny big time in the off-season if I was them. Vancouver has no depth and they are old in certain areas. Stralman, Boyle and Stastny would be an upgrade to their team over Kesler.

Vancouver can just overpay for Boyle and Brassard July 1 and keep Kesler

I would also deal Stralman, Boyle, Dorsett, and a pick for Kesler. That would be a great trade for us. I am sure the Canucks would do that.

Kesler (21 G/18 A) & Stepan (10 G/29 A) have identical point numbers and are about the same size but Derek is 8 years younger. Why the hell would Glen give up the farm for Kesler? Because he's had success playing with the Sedin brothers? I wouldn't do Stepan for Kesler straight up, giving too much away. Stepan would score prolifically with the Sedins. Kessler has never cracked 30 goals either, good faceoff guy but not worth Stepan. The question to ask when comparing Stepan to Brassard is where you think Derek's game will be in 5 years when he's Brassard's current age? My money's on Stepan, would trade Brassard for Kesler because of his free agency status.

    1. Other than PP Kesler doesn't play with the Sedins

    2. If you want to use that argument don't forget Stepan plays with Rick Nash who is light years better than any winger Kesler plays with
