    The main reason why I doubt we get Durant is he's loyal. The second reason is we must make the playoffs, which seems very unlikely.

    I will say that if Durant came to Portland with the exact core, we would be favorites to win it all.

    THAT'S the main reason? Not that we have never landed anything close to someone of his caliber.....EVER in FA

    Absolutely yes! As you see, building a winning organization will be the main factor on free agency. Look how Milwaukee was able to land Monroe. They had a winning team built by young players (a lot of room to improve). They had no real business competing in a free agent market, but they landed one of the better players this summer.

    Last season Durant bought a mansion in Miami...rumor mill has him going to the Heat or Wizards next season. He'll beast in the east.
