A difference is President Obama did what he could to try to bridge racial divide, despite birthers like Trump and other racists, while Trump does everything he can to make the divide between black/white native/foreign born and different religions bigger. One wanted racial equality, the other a lifelong racist. No doubt there were things President Obama could have done better, he'd probably say so himself since, unlike Trump, he is strong enough to admit to being fallible. But you know if you want to compare them to the statues, Obama is more like Washington and Jefferson while Trump is like Lee and Davis.

Being born in the US means you're a Natural Born Citizen. Since Obama was born in Hawai'i, he needed no exception. Kind of strange that you don't already know this.
I have no interest in talking about job growth under x president. As I believe it doesn't have a direct link as to why homosapiens care about looks. So I just wrote a tl;dr thing. And frankly if you were to ever meet them they'd act civil, but would be thinking you're an ignorant cotton picker in their head. All because you're black. Am I guilty by association? Should I cut my grandfather and my biological father out of my life? I've been told that by 'progressives'. They're my family. Just like my great uncle who's in prison, I still love them. Can't respect them because of their beliefs/what they've done. But I love them. When they say stupid shit around me, I just leave. But I still love them... And will continue to hope for opportunities to show them color doesn't matter. I can't really answer why people care more about the color of a persons skin or the gender identity of someone. Frankly none of that stuff matters to me, and the funny thing is I don't know why it doesn't matter to me either. I understand the color of someones skin or gender identity matters to some. But to judge someone based off either of those attributes is absurd. I didn't see race relations improving under Obama. I saw people on both sides killing one another. I saw congress have moments of silence. I saw numerous news conferences of Obama denouncing it. Saying it's wrong. It still happened again and again. There comes a point in time where silence means your guilty. There comes a point where talk becomes just talk. Presidents haven't ever done enough to get rid of racism, hatred, bigotry, ignorance. Frankly in my lifetime race relations haven't ever been trending upwards under any president. Seems pretty privileged to think so. None of this is me giving Trump an excuse. Race relations were on life support under Obama. Trump came in and pulled the plug on them. (poor analogy, but point is still made)
