Nice call bonehead. As a Bear fan I assume you saw Culpepper play without Moss ... but then again I doubt you even watch the games. At least it appears you don't.</div>
I am sure i flamed culpepper w/o moss on this forum a 100 times. Calling me a bonehead is a personal attack. I wont stand for it.

Also, I admit i was wrong. Pittsburgh is much better team than i thought

Does this mean you are NOT going to let the Dwo have "it" as you are predicting Miami to win? LOL??</div>
It means hes hedging his bet....now if Miami wins, he can say he predicted it....if they lose, he can flame us....so he cant lose....</div>
Ye of little faith. lol However I will say the thing that cost Miami the game was pretty obvious. #8 was horrible. I have to wonder if the DWO isn't rethinking that decision to choose Daunte over Brees now? Which btw I'd like to remind everyone had less to due with the injury than it did with having to give up compensation. In regards to the challenge that never was, I thought coaches had a buzzer as well as the red flag to alert refs? Either way it's unlikely the way that Miami's D was playing that they could have stopped the Steelers on the 3 consecutive plays at the goalline.

Daunte was no worse than any other of Marino's successors. Last night, DC was about par for the course w/ Noodle-arm Feidler & Griese. He was ahead of Feeley and Lucas.

Beef's right. You are hedging your bet. Let me run & get a fire extinguisher. ROFL.

I'll admit Culpepper was much worse than I thought. Sorry SF I just can't find it in myself to give your team credit. Well ok Batch wasn't a disaster. [IMG]

It's ok Bakes. I felt the same way about New England when they were the defending Champs. You'll come around. [IMG]

Yeah the Steelers really impressed me. Culpepper on the other hand played solid for 3 quarters and fell apart in the 4th. For a little bit it looked as if Miami was going to walk away with this one.

What game were you watching? CPep was off in the 1st quarter. However I initially chalked that up to being over anxious for the opener. He redeemed himself a little in the 2nd quarter. But then the majority of the 2nd half was brutal. The Steelers should have won by 3 scores if you think back to the fumble at the goalline & the dropped INT that was air mailed to Ike Taylor.

I felt the momentum building in the Dolphins favor at one point and looked like they would sieze the oppurtunuty....when Pitt was backed up inside the 20 and it was 3rd and long, the defense held but committed an illegal hands penalty, granting 5 yards and a 1st down....then they got another right after....I felt the mo' slipping right then and the Steelers drove a long way....then the fumble and a nice drive/punt pinned the Steelers again, and i felt the mo' building for the Dolphins again....then the blown coverage that lead to the long TD, then the 1st int, then the 2nd and they had blown it....there were questionable calls, but in the end, the Dolphins did not get it done when they had the chance to do so....they will likely regret it in January when they are in Pittsburgh instead of Miami....

I'm not rethinking the decision to choose Culpepper over Brees yet. Brees was playing us against the Saints for more money, so I'm not sure how committed he would have been to the Dolphins or will be to the Saints the next time he wants a new contract. Also, I haven't seen Brees throw in a regular season game yet. I know that Chad Pennington has never been the same since he started having shoulder problems. I'm also not ready to throw the towel in on Culpepper yet. He has played ONE GAME as the Dolphins starting QB and that was against an excellent Steelers defense. People overreact to much to a single game.

I did like the D, but that was never really in question. It's just a shame we don't meet you in the regular season this year. It was becoming an annual thing with us.

Culpepper has also shown that he can have multiple personalities...throwing in the towel on him right now would be ridiculous. I'd even say that you should give him two seasons before you make any judgement on whether he was a good pickup...

One game against the best, or close to the best, defense in the league....its hardly time to pull the plug on Culpepper....he wont face a defense as good the rest of the year unless its in the post-season....

Neither team did ANYTHING in the first quarter. It was one three and out after another.

Culpepper did fine. People are forgetting just how good the Steelers' defense really is. Dolphins should be proud they played so well. I think they're set to have a great year.

Yeah [IMG] but I don't count that as I didn't start to follow sports until '88. [IMG]
