Well If anytrade went down we would be taking on Wally. contract along with it. Look for something like: Odom, Mihm, George, and Kwame for Garnett, Szczerbiak We would probably have to overpay...our entire bench. But you will always get filler players who want to compete following a KG/Kobe show you know. Anyways, def would be a bidding war amoung teams, hopefully KG has some say in where he is going...

Sends Odom, Brown and whomeever to, lets say team X, and team x gives a squad to Minny and Minny hands over Garnett and whomever.
exactly- Kobe in this trade won't and doesn't work. Even if you think the Lakers would be better off with Garnett rather than Kobe- they'd be better than with both. Garnett by himself in LA would be hardly any different than him by himself in Minnesota- the main reason he wants to be in LA is Kobe. In the small chance that Garnett does come to LA- I gaurantee you it won't be for Kobe- His no trade-claus says so.
This makes no sense. The rumors out there are... 1.Dirk Nowitzki for KG 2.Rasheed Wallace and Darko Milicic for KG 3.Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley for KG All those players are all stars and prove that they can lead a team. Why would the T-wolves make a trade with the lakers? The Lakers are giving them Odom? Not going to happen. Mchale is not a dumb GM like Kupchak. And McHale hates the lakers so he will never trade with them anyways.

As bad as Kwame has been, Odom and Kwame for KG is a better deal for the Wolves than Rasheed and Darko. Sheed is getting old and his contract is just as long as Odom's, which would make Odom a better choice. So far both Darko and Kwame seem to be busts but at least Kwame has the size and seems to be doing better at boarding and defending.

Sheed's age and Darko's ability to suck should be a major turnoff for Minny.

wow i bet minny fans would love to see kwame and kandi on the floor at the same time. imagine the numbers those two would put up if they were to get together. right now garnet is stopping kandi from going all out if kg goes then we can all get to see the allstar kandi man not to mention kwame who would probably put up numbers similar to KG so really no big loss.

So the KG trade talks were all a scam, according to Dave Aldridge. Mentioned that Szerbiak has a higher chance of being traded. I still think KG should be traded, not only to better the team in the future and save some money but because Garnett deserves to move out and try to win a championship. He's done Minnesota good, but the franchise never helped him out by surrounding him with good talent. So I believe he will still be traded just like Charles Barkley's analysis.
You cant trade an all star unless your expect an all star in return. KG will not be traded for mediocre players. If a trade were to take place I'd see KG being traded for Kobe but thats very unlikely. I dont see KG coming to Lakers. Maybe when hes a free agent but how will we find any cap salary for such a big player. I strongly doubt it. Plus.......a power struggle between Garnett and Kobe would evolve. Two dominant players such as KG and Kobe would have a hard time coexisting. Bad chemistry would be the results and I dont want to see another Shaq Kobe fiasco. Unless Kobe were willing to reduce some of his attempts and lessen his me first attitude I dont see this trade being a good idea nor do I see it happening.

They are good friends. They train together in the post season in Malibu. Figure this problem, Kobe can't afford to look like the bad guy and cause chemistry problems + KG wants a ring desperatly and is probably more than willing to sacrifice point production to get their = good chemistry. You're right about one thing, KG won't be traded. FA is our best bet, but according to an ESPN article he wants to stay in Minny.
Remember when Shaq said he wanted to stay in LA? But, we got a bad GM (Kupchak) and that made him turn against us. I think McHale falls under the "bad GM" standard.
I doubt it'll happen at all. The trade involves getting Kwame Brown... I won't believe it till I see it I guess.
