    To be fair I don't think the UFC is withholding. The NSAC is not releasing his purse and the pay-per-view cut comes out much later.

    I'm almost certain the same will happen to Khabib's teammates that happened to Conor's following the bus thrashing. They will be pulled from short term fights, and in December will be fighting again.

    I lost a little respect for him after the fracas but this kind of thing makes him gain it back.

    For all that he is he is a man of his word.

    The UFC can easily spin into losing a fight is punishment without firing those guys. We will see if Khabib has pull.

    Interesting theory from a few people on MMAjunkie, they think Khabib caused the fracas on purpose to make himself look like a crazy Ivan Drago type and make people want to see him fight more. It also gives them a reason to put Conor back in the cage with Khabib to further his pay day. It makes sense because Nurmagomedov has never really acted like that in the past.
