I hope we could pry away Jose Barea if we cannot get Harris. This guy can flat out score and he's so tiny too haha.

I'd prefer fairly proven young talent, rather than what will be late-first round draft picks.

Um, Kidd for those three doesnt even work financially. Mavs would need to add another big contract to even make it work.

Wow...So Kidd's value has gone from Andrew Bynum to 3 expiring contracts?

Yeah, it makes zero sense to trade with the Lakes unless you get 1 of their young point guards. And Vujacic is garbage.

^ You're not getting any young pieces from the Mavs deal though. Also, Vujacic is not garbage, he is a shooter, which is something you guys have been pushing for, isn't plus? Plus, he's an expiring.

    Javaris Crittenton

This deal would be very solid for us...Kwame and Vujacic are expiring contracts, Lamar Odom would be next years starting powerforward and a valuable expiring contract next season and Crittenton is a young talented player and the first would get us started on the rebuilding process.

I will say that I wouldn't be surprised to see us actually improve in the standings if we made that trade...defensively we'd still be bad but I think we would score alot more than we do now.

the nets dont want a superstar or another good player in return. they want picks and expiring contracts. Theres no point in trying to replace kid with another star...this team has already proven that they cant win even with one of the best PGs ever. They need to blow it out and go into full rebuilding mode.

Close, but the Bulls are giving too much to the chance that Maglorie can still perform but just had a bum run in Jersey
    </div>
Cap space is "slightly" overrated. I mean, how many prime time free agents would be attracted to an organization which would be projected to win about 20-30 games next season. Thats exactly what this team will accomplish by trading away kidd and carter for late first round picks and garbage players with expiring contracts.

well how are they going to resign Gordon AND Deng for the money they are asking? Some bulls fans would love to get rid of Noc just so they could afford Deng and Gordon.

    Well, lemme review this trade.

    First round pick...check.
    Getting rid of Allen...check.
Getting young talent [at PG (Crittenton)]...check.
Getting a starter (Odom, who has a good chance at doing well out of the limelight in LA)....check.
    Expiring contracts...check.

Sounds good to me. If we could get Ariza, that'd be nice. Just wishful thinking there, tho. I'd say that's a fair deal, and much better than the Dallas trade.

I don't know about Ariza, but keep in mind that next season, Lamar will have a 14-15 million dollar expiring contract. You can have his contract, and Collins contract off the books next season. The Nets would be in great position to lure in free agents.
