When they bring them in for the playoffs though, they bring them in during the regular season. The most recent one that I can think of was when Boston brought in PJ Brown after the AS break a couple years ago. In that situation though, they brought him in with what, 30 or so games left? That gave him an opportunity to gel with his teammates and get some chemistry. If you bring in a player too late in the year, you're not going to have that opportunity, and if they happened to be injured all the time as well, again, tough to get the chemistry right. And if you don't have good chemistry come the playoffs, you're not making it very far.

yeah, two examples are starberry versus pj brown. although, in martin's defense- he's doesnt have any career endangering injury concerns like tmac, penny, oden or yao. he's just so fragile, i presume because of his slender physique that he happens to get injured periodically. with some more muscle- those injuries could be averted and he could play 60 + games and the kid is a 25 ppg scorer when healthy so its a great risk to take.

Well, I have to be honest, I'm scared.

I have a personal vendetta as well. My brother is a HUGE LeBron fan, and says Kobe is "an old man."

I also have a pain in the ass dad who likes to pick on whichever one isn't playing well lately (Kobe).

I have to say, after just watching the Lakers lose in Cleveland (LeBron KILLED us), I am truly scared of the Cavs. I don't think the Magic or the Celtics have what it takes to defeat them.

Any news on Devin Harris coming in??? I think Lakers management NEEDS to at least TRY AGGRESSIVELY to make an upgrade. Easy games Kobe should sit out, rest. I'm getting worried.

AND ANDERSON VAREJAO IS KILLING PAU!! WTF?!?!?!?

The Celtics can take Cleveland if they get healthy. I don't know if that is possible though, they're too old and KG has issues with his knee or something...

    Orlando sucks.

It does seem like Cleveland is winning the east unless they choke. We couldn't beat them this year full strength, and without Mo. If they add another piece like Jamison you better damn well be scared, or you're just flat out lying.
