To be sad over a loss to the Warriors on their court is to be forever tortured by your own expecations One team has one there in the last year. We at least can say we made them bleed on our court. This season has already been a success..
So obvious you didn't need to post it. What wasn't obvious was that Tim Donaghy was wearing a facial prosthetic and posed as a ref. It was FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH
It amazes me that some of you managed to survive this long with such dangerous things out there such as scissors, bears, and action figure guns (the kind parents are warned about).
Are you effing kidding me? I think Eric is crazy and a complete pain in the a**, but he was the only one right this year about the Blazers. God knows I was unbelievably wrong in my prediction. I thought we'd be lucky to win 27 games. In my mind, he's freaking Carnac. Oh, and regarding the Warriors? We have one Damian Lillard, they have three and a half of him.
I just accept it and move on. It pains me... but we do think somewhat tunchi-like at times. *shudders*
Actually there were several of us that were right this year about the Blazers but I like your post..Eric always brings the spirit!
Yes Eric predicted more wins but that isn't overly realistic as he thinks they are going to win practically every game and no one can guard us, we need no additional players....the list goes on and it is entertaining if nothing else. The Blazers have exceeded expectations to be sure but part of that is because the rest of the west (again the prognosticators got wrong) was so much weaker than last year. Houston was supposed to be much better after making the Conf Finals, the Pelicans were supposed to make the Playoffs, Dallas was supposed to be better than they are, no one saw Memphis being DECIMATED by so many injuries and Griffin has been out a long stretch with the Clippers or they might be the #3 seed. OKC can't cover a 4th quarter lead to save their lives. A lot of things went into the Blazers being better outside of just riding Dame/CJ. I have a buddy that predicted the Blazers were going to win 50 again but just because he was closer than most prognostications doesn't mean anything other than he is an admitted giant homer. He also said Portland would beat Memphis in the Playoffs last year and the Spurs the year before that. Not a ton of reality in those predictions but he has fun with it and I've learned not to try and have a reality based conversation with him outside of joking around about our favorite team.
And the award for the last person, not named Kingspeed, to call out anyone goes too... *obligatory drinks like a fish reference goes here* *@HCP, Obligatory means "so customary or routine as to be expected of everyone or on every occasion."*
Here's where you lose me....it actually means in reality that he was more accurate predicting the season than you were...why water it down? Being an optimistic fan doesn't have to be addressed as a character flaw although more pessimistic fans like to define it that way
