I never knew Bibby was an expiring, isn't he out for most of the season anyways? Also, Artest is probably going to opt out of his deal at the end of the season anyways, so I guess he can be considered an expiring as well. Tyrus Thomas is a nice young player, who I wouldn't really mind having on this team. If this trade does go through, we'd better be getting some draft picks in return. Also, I'm hoping that whichever team Kobe goes to, we'll be able to unload Brian Cook on.
My only gripe about this deal is Hinrich, considering how if he does come onto this roster, we will have a huge logjam at the point guard posistion. Honestly, I'm not really into this trade, but I've sort of warmed up to it, considering how this may be the best deal we've received so far. If Bibby and Artest gets traded to LA though, is it not out of whack to believe that the Lakers will try to move them both by the trade deadline for some expirings or picks? Maybe even some young talent?

Lakers would play him/sit him/whatever for this season, then he's expiring and valuable in a trade.
Hinrich isn't a PG, he's more of a point-shooting-guard (like point-forward). He's going to match up with virtually any other guard you put out next to him, be it a PG or SG.
If the deal does go down, you'll find Hinrich is a terrific "glue" player - he does everything in the game good/very good, but not any one thing excellent. He's also a winner.

LMFAO! ESPN is reporting...
Bulls Receive: Kobe Bryant
Kings Receive: Ben Gordon and PJ Brown
Lakers Receive: Ron Artest and Ben Wallace LMFAO! LMFAO! And they just said this deal is dead.
lol. Talk about Ric Bucher making up the bullshit. ESPN must be REALLY embarassed that they didn't break this story first that they're making this trash up.
This doesn't even make sense for the Lakers by any stretch. Sacramento gets the best player (thats not Kobe) in the trade? Right....

I know its obvious that everything Ric Bucher says is a lie, but how did he even end up coming up with a lie that makes so little sense.

QUOTE

Trade rumors involving Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant coming to the Bulls just won't go away. In fact, they are getting hotter and heavier by the minute.

The latest, as reported by WSCR 670-AM, has Bryant coming to the Bulls as part of a three-way deal involving the Sacramento Kings.

Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich and Kings forward Ron Artest, a former Bulls, could wind up in Los Angeles.

The rumor was also being discussed on WMVP 1000-AM.

A Bulls source denied any deal was imminent.

Apparently the Kings didn't like giving up good players for crap. Every Nets fan will agree with you BG7 that Bucher is full of sh*t based on the 30 Kidd trades that "supposedely fell through at the last minute." This guy continually pulls stuff out of his ass and then covers it up with fantastical lies when it falls through.
"Rod Thorn woke up this morning and just didn't feel right about it, so he pulled it off the table" LOL you gotta be kidding me...

I literally don't think anything... ANYTHING... Ric Bucher has "reported" (and I use that word lightly) has ever turned out to be true. Ever... As soon as I saw Ric Bucher's name swirled around this 3-way rumor, I automatically thought to myself that it was not going to happen.
ESPN really needs to stop passing casual sports fans off as "insiders."

This is a horrible deal for Kobe.
If this goes down Kupchak (or however you spell his last name) should be fired.
