Wouldn't that depend on whether or Houston could match? They are only offering him the MLE. Can they afford more?
I don't know, but clearly no other team has actually made him a better offer, or he would've signed it.
Not necessarily. He certainly hasn't signed with Houston. Why? The Josh Smith signing just happened. Maybe he's weighing his options?
1.5 seconds? Really? I had to read it seven or eight times, and spent at least twenty seconds on it...
After seeing some footage of KJ I have to agree with this. KJ seems like maybe a bit more highlight-reel version of Harkless.
I'm guessing he's not in the market for a SF after landing Harkless for free. With the cap space and messing with other teams cap like a woman scorned, it wouldn't at all surprise me if Neil offered somethijg north of the MLE.
Ridiculous? Or sticking it to other teams? I know Cleveland is the other conference, but I don't care. Anytime we can force another team to spend more than they wanted, isn't it a win for a team like us? I say give Tristan a sheet and force Cleveland to match. We have to spend more money. He is a proven solid roll player. Doesn't matter cause Cleveland will match. Good. Id say anyone that fits what we are looking for, or could improve this team, toss them an offer and force the other team to spend more. Obviously this is a tip toe thing and you don't want it to back fire by getting stuck in bad contracts, but if played right, just like the Kanter thing, these could be win wins for us. Hiliarious. See Dviss, you just proved Mediocre man right. We all spent way more time than we should have, but you? ..."moving right along with regularly scheduled programming..."
