for the record, I don't have a problem with JQ. His particular style of inserting himself into the story seems like a peculiarity in his writing, not a fault or affectation. Similar to Zach Lowe inserting gifs and vines, or Barnwell talking about lines, or Simmons writing as if everything is a WWE or Reality TV metaphor. Granted, I wasn't reading the O during the Damon/Sheed times, so he may well have been an insufferable clown then. But to compare him to Canzano or Dwight?
I do enjoy listening to Quick on the radio, talking ball or Comcast. He gives actual insight to the players and how the team is playing. Contrast that with Chris Haynes or Jabari Young...
