<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Stephon Marbury couldn't get over the sight of himself wearing the jersey of his hometown New York Knicks. He would have looked better in it if the result had been different.

LeBron James' 10 assists and Zydrunas Ilgauskas' 24 points led the Cleveland Cavaliers over the new-look Knicks 107-96 Tuesday night.

Marbury, traded from Phoenix to New York along with Penny Hardaway a day earlier, had just eight points and eight assists after being cleared to play 30 minutes before tipoff.

The Brooklyn, N.Y., native was emotional after the game in describing what it felt like to don his new uniform.

``I touched it and felt the number. It's a beautiful jersey,'' Marbury said. ``I like everything about this team. We have so many guys who can play.''

James had 14 points on a poor shooting night, but his assists tied his career high. Eric Williams hit baskets at several key points and finished with a season-high 22.

``He's the best rookie ever,'' Marbury said of James. ``I can't describe it any more than that -- he's that good.''

The Cavs FINALLY had all the pieces of the puzzle on the court!! They now can mix & match and figure out a rotation that will play the second half..

The Cavs just ran over The Knicks [IMG] WE just gased them with our Defense

I am impressed because the Knicks played zone the entire night, and that is something the Cavs have had trouble with.

They attacked the basket, made their freethrows, and did not turn the ball over much.

You do that, you win in this league, plain and simple.

I agree! I think what Lebron did tonight was great! You can just tell after he sees something a few times he just figures it out and improves! Tonights games was nice and also makes the other team on pins and needles! You dont know if he is going to pass all night or just take over the game!

This was nice controled win for the whole team!

You can see in only 2 months that this team is turning into a Paul Silas team [IMG]

I still don't see why many people are talking about Marbury having an off night. So what, he scored 8 points (2 were an uncontested layup when the game was over) but he could not be the new guy on the team coming in here and shooting the ball up 25 times, that would be disrespectful.

Marbury did the right thing, and still had a good game.
