Nate was at least willing to stand toe to toe with someone, whereas Carmelo suckerpunched a guy being held, then ran away. And you know what is disrespectful? The way the Nuggets carry on when they win games. They laugh at opponents, they keep their starters on court and they try partytricks. It's about time someone showed them their rubbish is unacceptable.
Invalid Video Link Lol look at at exactly 2:00 when Carmelo punches Jared Jeffries. Carmelo runs back like a wussy. And also look at 2:02 when Nate Robinson bucks at Carmelo!! THATS A MUST SEE Carmelo got scared and ran back after the punch which was a bit wussy of him, but the Nate Robinson buck was funny! Nate Robinson is a G, he tackled Andre Miller. Knicks whooped the Nuggets!
<div class="quote_poster">bangofan13 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Thats cause when little thugs run at you you laugh so hard you crap your pants</div> Yeah, Carmelo was really laughing. Face it, he's a deadset coward who took a cheapshot, ran away, and got scared when Jefferies and Robinson came at him. Like the Denver Nuggets franchise, he's nothing but a cheap bully and he shown up as exactly that tonight.

I know which i'd prefer to be labelled as.
Melo is an idiot, bitch, and wuss. He was the star on the court and should have acted in a better manner.
For some reason I don't think that Mardy Collins is a type of player that would foul someone so maliciously unless he was instructed to. Isiah was bitching about the fact that Carmelo and Camby were still in the game when they were up by 20. Why not bitch about the fact that your team was down 20 at home to a team that had lossed four out of their last six games? You don't retaliate w/ flagrant fouls. You retaliate with a better effort on the court. There is no place in the NBA for this. The referee should have immediately ejected Collins after that foul. He made no attempt to go for the ball at all. A referee should have stepped in between Collins and Smith before other teammates can get involved. Punches aren't normally thrown when some type of order is sustained. Garden security should have had more of a presence considering that part of the brawl spilled into the crowd. Nate Robinson was the primary instigator of the fight, simply b/c he can't seem to get rid of his "little man" complex. Carmelo needs to grow up. There was absolutely no need for him to sucker punch Mardy Collins. Ordered had been restored and he must have felt that Collins didn't get what was owed to him so he hit him and ran. It was childish, it made him look soft, and it may cost his team a playoff birth depending on how many games that he will get suspended. Just when you think that he has turned the corner he reminds you of how much further he needs to grow. Completely unacceptable. But at the end of the day I am blaming Isiah b/c as a leader within an organization you set a better example of how you are supposed to deal with adversity. Placing the blame on George Karl b/c of his close relationship w/ Larry Brown (Karl was very critical of the firing of Brown last summer) when over half of the team is going to be suspended is not befitting of a NBA GM/Head Coach. We aren't in the streets of Chicago, Zeke. When your team is getting their ass kicked maybe the brunt of your frustration should be with them. And it seemed as if both benches also ran onto the court during the brawl. Which means conceivably every player on the roster could be looking at a suspension. Just what the NBA needed. What new rule with David Stern make up for this.
Man Nate Robinson tackles the **** out of J.R. Smith. Nate is pretty strong for a little guy! At 1:54 Nate Robinson is standing there like a damn football player. Melo was a p*ssy for running back after that punch! Jared Jeffries is lucky to trip trying to punch Melo because he would've broke his wrist again. But seriously he would've kicked Carmelo's ass. Nate Robinson's buck at 2:02 was funny as sh*t! Man where was Francis. He would've handled Melo!
I dont know why you're all calling Melo a coward and the like, this isnt the UFC, there are no rules in a fight, anything goes, anything is legal. Melo made a smart move, throw a punch and get the hell out of there. While I'd prefer to see him go toe to toe with someone "like a man", you cant hold him at fault for what he did.
This brawl was a big disgrace to the NBA and now David Stern will have to make up a new rule to take out his anger.

JR tackled Nate, not Andre Miller.
^ Hell yea. This was a crazy fight though. Who do you guys think won? I think Knicks whooped some @$$ <div class="quote_poster">Karma Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Where are you even getting Andre Miller from? In the YT clip, the announcer messed up the names. Anybody see Carmelo throw Frye down to the floor? Then he stood over him, like what are you gonna do about it? Frye was mature and didn't retaliate.
I completely agree with your post, Sheik. Ultimately, this boils down to Isiah being frustrated by an embarrassment on his homecourt and trying to shift the attention away from his own failures as GM/coach. I really hope David Stern calls him out for this. But I highly doubt it, because he tends to react to the public opinion and the players will recieve the spotlight from this incident. Also, NTC I don't really agree with you. Not necessarily about how he ran away. But, the fact that his punch was completely unprovoked and uncalled for. He made a situation that was slowly quieting down, escalate even further and the fact that he ran away just shows his motives.
