If moving CJ in a package that would net Chandler and Shumpert, how many of you would do that?

You would be a fool not to and anyone that says No is just content with regular season wins.

I've watched CJ for a couple of games and while it's too early to jump to conclusions, I have concerns. His body isn't nearly as big as I thought it was. And not nearly as athletic as I thought he was. If there is value there that would allow you to add depth to your bench, maybe you do that.

And then it maybe too early to jump to that conclusion on him.

Bob, who works for KFAN in NY, had some interesting thoughts to this post he made to fans asking about details:

"Hasn't been dominant defensively in two years."

Numbers clearly show a slight decline across the board. But he is coming back from injury, I'll give him a pass ....for now. His DRtg is the lowest it's been in nearly six years.

$14m this year and $14.6m next year -- 31 and injury prone, do you make this move seeing how Lopez is clearly the better player at a fraction of the price?

I've been a Shump fan but I would not give up CJ for him.

He had 9 points tonight, and I think 7 of them were in actual gametime and not in that horrible garbage quarter. The guy scores more than like 90% of our bench, and he's only played four(?) games.

In regards to CJ's size and athletic ability, it's very similar to Damian Lillard's. CJ is just not the ball-handler/passer than Damian is (as we saw last night). He's got a great stroke and is a crafty scorer. Portland probably won't be getting any good draft picks for awhile, so we should hold on to our young talent. CJ is on a rookie contract, and when you can get production out of a guy on his rookie contract that's golden.

IDK. I think sometimes fans remember how a player was, and think he'll always be the same. I don't honestly know what Chandler's value is now, but I'm certain he's not the same player he was five or even three years ago. I'd be very leery of spending a lot to get Chandler, and CJ is going to be important for us, especially after Mo opts out. There's also the chemistry factor. I see CJ as a good fit. IDK what Chandler's attitude would be splitting time with Fropez, who is a fantastic fit, BTW.

I have 0 interest in adding another guard who can't play D. But pretty hilarious that even a scrub like Beno wants out from NY

CJ very well could play but he is not there yet. That Wes is the heartbeat of the team.

Just because he's not a bad trading piece doesn't make him tradeable. CJ is no where near starting yet, and it would be foolish to think he is.

I like Seraphin a lot, and he's been one of the guys I've been kind of "scouting". But Matthews/Leonard wouldn't get both Beal and him, IMO. We'd probably have to include Crabbe or something.... Leonard in his showcase duties has faltered mightly... that, and I wouldn't trade Wes. He's not the best player in the world, but he's in the right system to maximize his strengths.

And CJ still won't be there.
