This game....really is better then sex. If you could somehow know before a game that Kobe waas going to do this, I'd turn down a chick to watch this game.
He could have broken Chamberlain's 100/game record. But he still scare the hell out of me . He's just like superman. 81pts, if a whole team scores 81pts, it wouldn't be so bad though.

The fact that you obviously don't like Kobe...that's fine. Your entitled to that...the fact that you can't even acknowledge, or respect this accomplishment, show's you don't belong in a basketball forum. Good luck to your blazers though...and oh yeah- way to hop on the champs band wagon....I'll be smirking when Chauncy Billups show's Tony Parker what a true point gaurd does. <font color="red">WATCH IT -K8B</font>

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting xclutchx:</div><div class="quote_post">81 pts!? whats the big deal!?!?! He got lucky..</div> Go say that Jordan's career high 69 points and Wilt's record 100 points, and you will get two black eyes Man...the 81 points? That is not a human performance. I HONESTLY don't think ANYONE can score that many points in our modern era, not even T-Mac or AI. Why? It takes alot of stamina, strength, and determination to do that. Try running down the court up-and-down and taking shot after shot. T-Mac doesn't have the stamina to do it and AI doesn't have the strength. Kobe is unbelievable, he is GOD!
Kobe4Life, yet again, you bring up a VERY good point, and I think a lot of people forget about tuff like that. This man plays just as hard on the defensive end then the offensive end. And he still managed to play that well playing 41 minutes. CHECK THIS OUT----------- Kobe scored 55 points in second half alone. That's more than anyone other than Kobe has scored in the NBA this season -- for an entire game. The 55 was also just four shy of Chamberlain's record for points in a half. ^^HAHA, Kobe had more points in the 2nd half alone than any other NBA player has had in a whole game this YEAR! Amazing. I really can't wait to hear what the other NBA Players have to say about tonights performance, particularly AI, Tmac, LeBron, and of Course DIRK NOWITZKI hahaha
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting illmatic:</div><div class="quote_post">Course DIRK NOWITZKI hahaha</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When news of Kobe Bryant's 81 against the Raptors spread through the Rose Garden's visiting locker room, the Mavericks' relief over outlasting the Blazers in overtime was replaced by amazement at Bryant's feat. Amazement, but by no means shock. That's because the Mavs saw Kobe score 62 on them just a month ago in 33 minutes of a 112-90 Lakers' rout. Mavs guard Darrell Armstrong stabbed his finger at a partial boxscore showing Kobe had 41 midway through the third quarter against Toronto. "Imagine if our game had been close," Armstrong said, suggesting that had Bryant not sat the entire fourth quarter he might've had more than 82 that night. More than anything, the Mavs were simply curious how Kobe put together the second single-highest scoring effort in NBA history, eclipsing all except Wilt Chamberlain's 100-point game for Philadelphia against the Knicks in 1962. Only coach Avery Johnson showed more interest in the Sonics' 152-149 double overtime win over the Suns, perhaps because the Mavs play in Seattle on Thursday. But while Johnson marveled at the Sonics winning despite only 40 points in the paint and Luke Ridnour getting 30, the rest of the team looked to dissect Bryant's performance. "How many times did he get to the line?" asked Jerry Stackhouse. (A relatively modest 18 of 20.) "How many assists?" asked Keith Van Horn. "He didn't have any against us." (Two assists, three turnovers.) "He took 47 shots?" asked Devin Harris. (Actually, 46, making 28.) Someone asked Dirk Nowitzki if he could top 82. "I don't think that would be good from a team standpoint," Nowitzki said. Stackhouse finished buttoning his shirt and shook his head in pure admiration. "You'd think the Super Bowl would lead SportsCenter tonight," he said. "But you know it won't. It can't. Kobe will. He has to." -- Ric Bucher in Portland </div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?pa...ailydime-060123
HAHAHAHA!!!! They're still sore and butt hurt from the 62 point game Kobe dropped on em DIrk said "it wouldn't be good from a team standpoint" LMAO Different situations Dirk, stop comparing your Maverick team to the Lakers, it's not the same, Jackass.
I gonna quit my job...miss this game...missing the 81 points and the 62...im gonna quit my freaking job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
