I think Kobe fans need to thank Sam Mitchell as well..The game was still reasonably within reach for the Raptors midway through the 4th, and he could've grinded the game by fouling Kobe or any other Laker, instead he gifted the game to Kobe and the fans.
those raps fans are bitter and they deserved that ass whoopin. their moderator is editing the name vince carter in valid posts. toronto is cursed!! kobe has to speak on the artest situation with kobe and artest that would be scary!!!
I honestly am in utter shock. I woke up...and just checked the score like usual and thought itw as a typo. I can't frekaen believe it...I swear it's a dream!
I'm <u><font color=""Red"">stunned</font></u>. That's all I got to say about that. You know how you see people in the movies stay still with their mouth open in disbelief, well that was me this earlier today. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">told ya he deserved the MVP this year... wow</div> Oh no. That's still a WHOLE other subject.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm <u><font color=""Red"">stunned</font></u>. That's all I got to say about that. This is rediculous. You actually dont consider kobe is an MVP candidate? Can I buy som pot from you?
well, this is a perfect example to support my argument that kobe is not human. he is a robot specially designed to play basketball.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You have to be banned. This is rediculous. You actually dont consider kobe is an MVP candidate? Can I buy som pot from you?</div> How can you ban a JBB staff memeber? But I see your point though, I should be banned if I didn't consider him a candidate at least. And like I've said 3243243242 times, Kobe is easily a candidate. Probably Top 5, maybe even 4. But winning the actual trophy? Nope. That can't happen as long as his team is just hoovering over .500 To be an MVP your team needs to be at LEAST the Top 2-3 in your respected conference OR have at least 50 wins plus the pretty stats(Kobe got that on lock). But in Kobe's case, 46-48 wins should get him MVP just because he is having a ground breaking season. But I don't see the Lakers getting 46+ wins because Kobe is be relied on way too much and he is human will get extremtly fatigued at one point. They were playing the Raptors for crying out loud and down 16 while playing at HOME. And if took a 81 point performance in order for them to win imagine when they're going to have to at LEAST try to stay competitive against teams like the Spurs, Suns(Amare), Mavs, Mem and so on later in the season. Kobe is just going to be too burned out. What more can you ask from him?
Guys, listen to Avery. He knows what he's talking about, trust me. If the Lakers get the 6th seed, Kobe will be MVP, but I don't see him getting MVP with the 7th or 8th seed. Avery's been throw this with Iverson, he knows what he's talking about.
"That was something to behold. It was another level. I've seen some remarkable games, but I've never seen one like that before." -- Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson on Kobe Bryant's scoring bonanza in the Lakers' 122-104 home win. Mind you, the man coached a certain guy named Michael Jordan for eight seasons. I Love Phil! Sign him to 3 years 30 million contract every week! What would it take for us laker fans to make our general managaer Bitch Kuptchak persue Ron Artest? - Maybe in our next laker game we should chant " We want Artest " What do you guys think? But that will give artest more credibility! what do you think?
Seriously the only time I could only vision Kobe with 81 points is in NBA Live 06 on rookie settings. I can honestly see Kobe getting 101 points lol...and I'm serious about that.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting danny18:</div><div class="quote_post">I gonna quit my job...miss this game...missing the 81 points and the 62...im gonna quit my freaking job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</div> Don't quit your job, get a DVR. I need one myself since I'm at school and have almost no time to watch tv. I'm watching sportscenter now waiting to see the highlights of Kobe's 81 point outing.

Dangit I'm so stupid

A few of the players were congratulating him and no one took any cheap shots to injure Kobe. Sam Mitchell can break this tape out in practice every time he feels his team isn't playing defense.
I've never written a post in this forum. Needless to say, Kobe's performance last night has forced me to venture into hostile territory. Kobe is the best player in the league, hands down. He should be the MVP and he should finally be able to silence all those who think that the Lakers should have parted ways with him instead of Shaq. Bottom line is that I don't believe that there is any player in the league that you could insert into this Laker's lineup in place of Kobe and see that dramatic of a win difference--if any. I lost a ton of money on the game last night and I'm not even that upset b/c I realize that watching that performance was worth the price of my defeat. I don't think that Kobe is a good teammate nor do I think that he will regain the national support that he had prior to his rape charge. But from a strictly basketball perspective, there isn't a player that I've seen (MJ the exception) who is capable of dominating a game like Kobe can. Too bad his personality will never allow for him to attract the free agents necessary for them to become World Champions again.
^^ His personality might not, but the money the Lakers will have in 2007 will attract the right free agents.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Man I fricken missed the game!!!! Of all the games I missed this year. I watched every laker game except for this one just because I moved houses and I had no cable yet. When I arrived at Riverside, my friends told me news about this game. I was completely shocked. Lucky for those that missed the game, they are reshowing it tommorow at 12pm on Fox Sport Net. I gotta say Kobe is Unbelieveable. MVP!</div> Can someone tell me how this google video thing works? Highlights of all his shots are all over the internet but I want to see the whole thing and just take it in..
