He got jobbed on that foul call. The bottom line is that you need two to three superstars to win a title regardless of who the main star is. When Kobe and Gasol we're on the same team, you know for sure that Kobe was the leader. Not sure why you're arguing against that. The fact you said that Kobe was along for the ride with Gasol is just your shot at Kobe. There's no truth behind it.
Shaq won in Miami but we both know that he was along for the ride on that one. Dwyane Wade won that title and Shaq was injured.
DWade was obviously the best player but Shaq averaged 20 and 9 that season, and 18/9 in the playoffs. Not exactly dead weight
Sure there is. He simply didn't make his team better. Consider that Pippen led Bulls team that won 55 games. BJ Armstrong was the 2nd option on that team. Then consider how the Lakers looked with Kobe and without that 2nd star.
CJ told Kobe that he'll always be his ideal. Kobe was CJ's favorite player growing up. CJ also told Kobe that he could only dream to be as good as him.
The Ghost of Michael Jordan finally retires... http://deadspin.com/michael-jordans-ghost-is-retiring-at-fucking-last-1745260048
Beautiful that he goes out at the absolute nadir of his worth. Worst player in the NBA on a team blatently tanking for a draft pick that will help them when he is no longer there. Chump ass motherfucker.
I will miss watching Kobe play. I think he deserves more credit for what he did for the NBA than what this threads comments indicate. He is a top 50 of all time and 3rd in scoring all time. If you dig deep enough into all the greats you will find something that they weren't great at (TO's, clutch shooting, etc.). In the end Kobe dominated his opponents for almost 2 decades. Never cared for Kobe on the Lakers, but Kobe as an NBA player was great to watch. Also... There is such a thing in this country as innocent until proven guilty is there not?
Also, I'm not a lawyer, and I'm not trying to send him to prison. I can think whatever the fuck I want about the bastard.
