Fair enough, but rape is a very strong insinuation and can ruin peoples' lives whether guilty or innocent, just by condemnation of those not in the know. Kobe is an idiot for ever putting himself into a position that could blossom such an accusation, but, he wasn't found guilty and that kinda stuff happens all the time to celebrities and those with money. Just sayin...

She wanted to have sex with him but not up the ass. He flipped her over and fucked her anyway. Yes, she wanted sex with him but that's still rape.

I'm watching the Clips' broadcast tonight and they were talking about renewed interest in basketball in Los Angeles since Bryant made the announcement. I chuckled.

Its probably the reason they did it... they wanted to make sure the team sucked, and then make the season all about him so they can recoup the money from that albatross of a contract by selling "memorabilia".

In other words, LA fans are the stupidest, most gullible fans in the NBA. They can't see an inch in front of them if it's not the media telling them to.

76ers get their first victory of the year as Kobe shoots 7-26. The Laker tank is on an absolute roll!

Looking at the highlights I think Kobe just retired from high school basketball.

Did you see how they said he's one of 4 players with 20K points, 6K assists, 6k rebounds?

Drexler is one of them. LeBron is already one of them. Same with Oscar Robertson.

    Nice company.

Nice company but these last seasons will be remembered for him shooting his team out of games and seemingly caring less about winning.

Man, ten years from now, no one will remember this Kobe season.

Do you remember anything about Hakeem sucking in Toronto? Ewing being trash in Orlando?

Those guys quietly faded away. They didn't cling to the idea of being a star like Kobe has, garnering jokes everywhere in the process.

They were not playing like they were still stars and being enabled by their organization. I sincerely hope he is just driving the tank and not too stubborn to realize his game is gone.

I will. Kobe is getting paid $20+ million to play like crap on a crappy team while Dirk and Duncan take pay cuts for the sake of winning. Hakeem only took 6 FGA in Toronto and Ewing only took 5 FGA in Orlando. They weren't hurting their team is the spectacular fashion that Kobe is.

I never liked his play, he's overrated and not even top 5 all times.

I swear, the only reason he announced retiring was so he could stop getting booed everywhere he goes. All this Kobe love bull shite just makes me sick.

It's like seeing a nobel prize winner who is actually a real d-bag, but since he's retiring, we must remember only the good times.

It's sickening how low the Lakers are. They can only have a 'meaningful' season by having one of the most overrated, brick-centric, selfish players retire.

And no, do not give me stats. It will not change my mind.

That being said, they (the Lakers) freaking suck. And I love it.
