I would say best around offensive player. But all around player. That's more like Andrei Kirilenko.

Also Kobe is not scoring 100 points or more in a game. When Wilt did that he was the tallest guy out there, there was no three point line (so you might as well give it to him), there was no shot clock (he could post up as long as he wanted), and I am pretty sure there wasn't a offensive 3 seconds. Kobe won't score over 100. Just because he scored 81 doesn't mean he will do it again. When Wilt scored 100, he never did it again. Also, I think Kobe is more worried about making the playoffs than the MVP. You can't give the MVP to a player who's team may not even make the playoffs. The MVP stands for "Most Valuable Player" there is a different award for scoring the most points. I would like to see Kobe's assists and rebounds go up before you can even talk about him getting the MVP, well in my opinion. I would also like to see his team do better before I put him in the running.
give it up you kobe <Censored> riders. he's not winning mvp cuz he can score. if he can actually lead his team to the conference finals then yea give to him but he's lookin at a nice first round exit in the playoffs so forget about it.
I'd like to add something about Nash, Nash will set up a player to get as high a % shot as possible, but he isnt going to make Ben Wallace into Larry Bird. Boris Diaw is a young player, and worked very hard over the offseason, he should get some credit for what he's doing. Im sure having Nash as a teammate helps, but he's the one making the shots.
Nash helps them out tremendously by finding them open looks. If their a sg in the NBA their expected to make an open jumper. It credit to them but more to Nash for setting them up. Trust me without Nash, the Suns would just be jacking up contested shots and have a bad team on both ends of he court. Nash is the guy that pieces together their offense and makes a top 20 offense into a top 5 offense.
It's going to be either Nash or Kobe. Nash has been spectacular, guiding his team to wins without one of the key guys on his team that was such a big part of last year's squad sucess. He and Marion have become a very dangerous duo. Nash has always been a great passer, but this year he's taken it to another level. He's definitely worth MVP honors it'll be interesting to see if he gets it.Kobe has been Kobe and some. He's having a career year, he's just been fun to watch. The way he takes over a game is incredible. All this talk of him "hogging" the ball is stupid. He does it to put the team in a better spot for the W. He is a great player when it comes to ALL things basketball. He has brought this Lakers team up from last year, and he's been playing great basketball while setting the example for the younger players on the team. If the Lakers end up with the sixth seed or higher, he's a lock for MVP.

Lamar Scrotum has been playing like a scrub. If notice the word if they make it beyond the sixth seed I think he should win it. I don't like Kobe as a person, but on the court he is amazing. As for Wade, yes I am a fan. But I also don't put down great players like Kobe just because of that. Wade is having his best year but he has too much talent and too little success on the Heat for him to win MVP.

They have no answer kobe, Ruben patterson isn't going to solve that.

On the Kobe 4 MVP topic, I recall TMac led his team to the .500 mark during the 04 season, averaging 32 points a game. They were the #8 seed, and TMac had an incredible year. He finished 4th in MVP voting. Although Kobe has had some great games, and is having a better season than TMac had then, I really don't see him getting MVP
I brought up the McGrady thing like you just did KMart, it's a solid counter to the Kobe 4 MVP debate.
If Tmac's team make the playoffs he's the MVP without a doubt. His team look more lost than the lakers without Kobe. It's the MVP, not the player with the best stats on a great team. Tmac is more valuable Dirk, nash and whoever you throw at him.
