    He's playing in the western conference, in a division that has 4 legit playoff contenders ( Clippers, Warriors, Suns, Kings) playing with a group of well meaning but horrendously inconsistent and inexperienced guys (2nd youngest team in the League) but somehow they are still holding down the 8th seed and could foreseably grab as high as the 6th- Honestly how does he not at least deserve consideration?

    If the Lakers make the playoffs, there is no reason why he doesn't deserve it. He's the only player on the Lakers playing consistent basketball. If they make the playoffs, it'll be single-handedly on Kobe's shoulders. MVP = MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. Take away Kobe, the Lakers are a top 2 pick team.

    Kobe should be getting NBA Player of the Week a third time straight after his past two games vs. Sixers and vs. Clippers

    right on! kobe 50 pts 8 assists 8 rebounds 7/15 from the arc
    kobe should be the MVP because he is single handedly bringing success to the lakers!!!
    unlike BRAND or BILLUPS or DUNCAN or NASH
    because they all have really good players alongside them!

    The Clips and the Lakers play in the same city. So, the fans are probrably fans of Both teams....

    I know that I live in LA. I was just saying Clips fans where shouting Kobe not just the LAker fans
