No, I don't get your point. You sound like Kobe and Carmelo have playing styles that are as different as Kidd's and Shaq's. They're both swingmen, and both play more or less a power-guard type of game. The only difference is that Kobe's BETTER than Anthony in almost every aspect. He will retire earlier (assuming he doesn't go into a forced retirement this season), but as long as Denver retains their point guard and solid, inside bangers, they won't have too much trouble adjusting to having Carmelo as the new 1st option. That's why Chicago still won 57 games in '93-'94.
