<div class="quote_poster">Quoting notMuchgame:</div><div class="quote_post">I've watched most of the games thus far, and I don't get that impression at all. He's making the right passes at the right time...He doesn't seem to be "pressing for assists" as you're suggesting, at least it doesn't appear that way to me. It just looks like how he was playing when Shaq was out the last couple of years, but this time he's doing it on a full-time basis

His turnovers are way up tho, but I attribute that to his horrible habit of jumping to pass and the large number of offensive fouls he draws when he tries to take his man one-on-one.</div>

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe also had eight turnovers in the contest and admitted after the game that he may be forcing the ball to his teammates too much. He currently ranks eighth in the league in assists with nearly seven per game. Given the makeup of the Lakers, we don't see any way around Kobe putting up some wretched shooting percentages, but we do love the all-around floor game he's handing in every night</div>
    Maybe?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Lakerland:</div><div class="quote_post">I posted this before but in another thread that got closed.

Okay...I respect Kobe's game and I have been/will be a Laker fan for life...but c'mon. THREE LEGENDS in the game of basketball- Phil Jackson, Shaquillie O'Neal, and Karl Malone- all have beefs with the guy, not to mention Ray Allen. Doesn't that mean anything AT ALL to you? Why do you all insist on labelling Kobe the "good guy" in all this? Why is it always Allen/Shaq/Malone at fault?? Some of you may say "the media overexaggerates it all." They probably do, but EVERYONE in the NBA has to deal with the media. Kobe must've done SOMETHING to get in the spotlight.

Kobe's not the hero/victim some of you make him out to be. He's the most SELFISH player in the NBA. I have never seen anyone HOG the ball as much as he does, at the end of games. This is just so he can get on Sportscenter or whatever...did you see that shot he took yesterday against the Suns??? What the hell was that?? He only did that so if he made it, it would look more spectacular.

PLEASE. Open your eyes and judge Kobe logically.</div>
And off-topic for a second...my apologies for closing the thread. I should've merged it with the others...but the reason I closed it was because it was about Kobe Bryant, when there was already another thread created for him. Instead, I should've just merged the two threads...and that's my mistake, and I'm sorry.

Also, I noticed you posted the same thing above that you did in the other thread, but you left out that second sentence. Thanks for doing that. [IMG]

New Article, Didnt want to make a new thread:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I don't have to make a point," O'Neal said. "I'm George Bush. I'm the president. I built that arena..."</div>

I tried liking him since trading him, but he is honestly an ass. How big is his ego, this just goes to show that Kobe is much more mature than Shaq, always has been, and always will be.

    "I'm George Bush"

What would happen if Kobe made similar comments?

Kobe wouldnt make similar comments. Kobe has said one thing about Shaq as far as I know, and other than that...he has easily been the more mature and bigger man...and even if he did say that, its nothing compared to the cheap shots Shaq takes, Shaq is in the denial stage, he cant go on living without Kobe... Yeah, I know he wouldn't. What I was saying is if he did it would be all over BSPN, their website, and this thread would be full of negative quotes from Laker haters.

Oh, then in that case..I agree...ESPN, err BSPN, would be all over him. The Kobe haters would have 5 closed threads on this and 6th one running..and this would all be full of negativity again...
